Review: Ever Bilena Pink Eyeshadow Palette

Ever since I started using makeup I only use matte and neutral hues for my eyeshadow. However the more I see makeup tutorials with sparkly eyeshadows the more I want to get one! Since I don't really explore much with eye makeup and I am not very skilled with blending yet, I don't want to splurge. The usual price of a korean brand eyeshadow palette costs P700 above and my sister also keeps on reminding me that I still have a lot of eyeshadows at home .One thing is missing though- the shimmer eyeshadows! Mind you that I am not looking for the ordinary shimmer ones, what I want is the pearly type of shimmers which are similar to tear drop korean eye liner effect.

One blessed Saturday my co-worker and I checked an Ever Bilena kiosk in Watsons, I am not looking for anything but I luckily found Ever Bilena Pink Eyeshadow Palette.

What is it?
Ever Bilena Pink Eyeshadow Palette

Packaging
The plastic case lets you see the eyeshadow colors inside. Its fab and expensive looking. I also like how they thoughtfully placed a small mirror inside. Very convenient!

Experience
Ever Bilena Pink Eyeshadow Palette's color selection is just brilliant. There are total of 6 colors in the pan. The palette is called 'pink' but fret not because the colors are wearable. The palette actually contains orange shades which is exactly what I was looking for. One swatch and I'm sold. Each pan simply looks fab when used together.

The eyeshadow is highly pigmented and buildable. Its lush, dramatic and attention grabbing when layered and can be perfect for evening parties. Its also smooth when applied. Its the exact type of luminous pearlized quality sparkles I am looking for. I really like it when the eyeshadow catches light, its just beautiful. Do not skip the primer especially if you're suffering from oily lids. This is not chalky and the vibrant highly pigmented colors are just pure love.

It does fade and transfers if you're the type who often touches their eyes but it doesn't crease on me though.

How much and where to buy?
Only P165 at your favorite Ever Bilena kiosks!

What I love
  • The chunky shimmers!
  • Shades are very wearable - perfect for a Christmas makeup look
  • Doesn't break the bank
  • Highly pigmented
  • Very blendable
  • Affordable
  • Convenient mirror inside the case!
What I don't
  • Shimmers may fall off
  • It doesn't last the whole day
Will I repurchase?
Its in the realm of possibility but this will last long!

Overall~
The Ever Bilena Pink Eyeshadow Palette offers the glamorous shimmer eyeshadow without breaking the bank. It might not be the ultimate eyeshadow because it has a few hiccups but for the price, I can't complain! This is already a steal for P165! Kudos for continuously bringing quality products to the mass, here is a heart for a job well done Ever Bilena! <3

Review: Seoul White Korea Double White Whitening Soap

Nowadays I don't often go to beauty stores as much as I did before however when I've visited Watsons a new brand called Seoul White caught my eyes. They seem fairly new and they only have a whitening cream and soap in their line as of the moment. Since I am on the lookout for a new body soap I gave in to Seoul White Korea Double White Whitening Soap.

What is it?
Seoul White Korea Double White Whitening Soap saysnstant White. Kinis puti. K:

KEY BENEFITS:

PRICE:              PHP 39.00/ PHP 60.00/ PHP 65.00/ PHP 125.00

Packaging
The cute packaging got me. Its a blend of white and pink colors (perfect combination!~) with a pretty girl cartoon character. Its packed in threes but they also have single boxed soaps.

Experience
I bought this for the sweet scent and whitening promise. I like how they had each soap wrapped individually. I'be used it both on face and body. I didn't experience any micro peeling but when I've used my korean towel it removed a lot of dead skin cells! The scent also lingered long and my skin felt soft and fresh every time I use it.

My face is sensitive to soap products so at first I don't want to use it on my face. However after using it on the body and I felt that its not harsh nor too drying I've decided to give it a shot and see what will happen. I tried to use it for a week and it didn't broke me out. Actually unlike other whitening soaps, it dried out some of my pimples without making my face extra oily. There is no tightening nor tingling feeling unlike other whitening soaps. My face is also instantly radiant and brighter every after use. However just recently I broke out because of my monthly hormones so for a while I needed to take a break from everything that I am currently using.

How much and where to buy?
P125 for pack of 3 (90g) soaps with a sampler Whitening cream (for a limited time only!~)

What I love
  • Fruity sweet scent that lingers!
  • It doesn't melt easily
  • Dries up occasional pimples
  • No micropeeling so far
  • Non drying
  • Brightens up face after wash
  • Made skin smooth and soft
  • Instantly whiter and radiant skin after wash
  • Didn't broke me out
  • Affordable
  • Accessible
What I don't

  • Nothing that I can mention

Will I repurchase?
Yes! I use this interchageably with my Pax Moly Aloe Vera soap.

Overall~
I like how they formulated Seoul White Korea Double White Whitening Soap and I'll be stocking up because I just love love love the scent. The whitening effect is extra. I want to try their Seoul White Instant White touch Up Whitening Milky Cream next!

Review: Glutaredox L-Glutathione

In the Philippines we can't deny the fact that the best selling skincare products are usually those with whitening effect! Girls just love to be fair skinned nowadays that is why there is a big demand for whitening products which include glutathione. Glutathione can either be taken orally or through gluta IV injectibles. Gluta IV is said to take effect so much faster than oral glutathione but how about if its a sublingual glutathione? Will it be possible for a tablet to replace IV administered Glutathione ? This is the promise of Glutaredox L-Glutathione Sublingual Lozenges offered by Oxina.

What is it?
Oxina is a baby brand that is associated an award-winning online shop has been providing top products for beauty and wellness since 2006. The flagship product that Oxina is currently carrying is called Glutaredox.

GLUTAREDOX, a groundbreaking supplement that gives the same effect of a glutathione injection in a simple sublingual tablet. It has a patented formulation containing a high concentration of Reduced Glutathione, Vitamin C, Selenium and L-Cysteine along with its Oro-FS-Release technology assures of 100% absorption rate which makes it superior to others.

Given its special formulation and innovative route of administration, Glutaredox Oro-FS-Release ensures maximum bioavailability of reduced glutathione in all areas.

Here are some of its unique benefits:
• Maximum oral absorption of glutathione
• High bioavailability of reduced glutathione
• With Scientifically-based studies of formulation
• Major detoxifying agent
• Cell cycle regulator
• Immune system modulator

Packaging
Its in a box instead of plastic bottles which made it environmental friendly. Each box comes with 5 aluminum foil blister packs. One blister pack contains 6 tablets so 1 box is good for a month.

The product is patented in Italy that is why the language on the box is in italian. Hopefully they can provide an english guide and/or ingredient list in the near future.

Experience
Glutaredox is said to be a hassle free glutathione in tablet form. Well its not really my first time to take glutathione but the ones I've tried are all in capsule form. What sets Glutaredox aside besides being in a tablet form and taken sublingually is the facet that I only need to take just one capsule a day! Just one capsule means its economical and affordable. Good thing that the effect won't suffice because of the sublingual method used which actually means you'll get 100% glutathione absorption because there will be no digestive and excretory barriers.

Truth to be told was when I first took Glutaredox I forgot that it should be taken sublingually and I've chew it like Bonamin! I've never tried taking sublingual tablets before but I've read that the tablet should be under the toungue. The sublingual method as well as the formulation allows Glutaredox  to immediately take effect and raise the body's glutathione levels in just a matter of hours.

I've just finished the 2 months supply and I couldn't be any more satisfied. During my first week of taking it I really felt light and energized. It just felt different to take the tablet under the tongue but I got used to it after a while. I didn't notice the instant effect after just taking one tablet but my skin is finer now and I stopped breaking out easily. I also noticed that my pimple marks is gradually lightened. I can't attest with the anti-aging but the anti-oxidant property is very good.

How much and where to buy?
A 30 days supply is only P1800 and you can easily purchase them at Oxina.
EDIT: The price will revert to its original price: P2380 starting this February)

What I love

  • My skin lightened and its evident on my face
  • I feel light and fresh when I was taking it
  • Budget friendly compared to other brands in the market
  • Nature friendly packaging
  • Safe for sensitive skinned gals
  • Initial and eventual alternative to Gluta IV shots
  • Potent formula with maximum oral absorption
  • I only need to take one tablet a day and I'm good to go
  • Can be taken even without Vitamin C
  • Powerful antioxidant and it also has anti-aging properties
  • I seldom get breakouts now
  • FDA approved

What I don't

  • You can only purchase it online as of now.

Will I repurchase?
There is a possibility that I will because I like to detox using Glutathione supplements.

Overall~
For me, Glutaredox L-Glutathione Sublingual Lozenges can be your best bet as an alternative to Gluta IV shots. Give it a go and see how it fares for you. I want to thank the sublingual method for the fast results it gave me and Oxina for letting me try it. I am pleased with the results!

Awesome product. Any questions? Let me know if the comments!

Review: Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light

I have been in a splurge on skin care lately. I have found love in my Pax Moly regimen but I try different products every now and then. Being stressed with work took its toll on my skin so I thought why not check out something new? Here we go with another korean skincare product called Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light. I honestly don't use ampoules and serums much. I think its more of a korean routine that I am yet to adapt. I am more into creams, moisturizers, gels etc. However this product is raved lately because it was said to work like magic in minimizing acne and pimple marks as fast as one night. Well why not give it a try?

What is it?
Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light
[15ml]

  • Treats melasma, dark spots and hyper pigmentation
  • Whitening
  • Anti wrinkles
  • Moisturizing
  • Smoothing

I seriously can't find much information about the product but its all over facebook sellers so here we go.

Packaging
The product is in a dark bottle which keeps the ampoule safe from sunlight. I remembered one similar product called 'Elujai?' That is pretty similar with the packaging and product benefits.

Experience
When I have received my bottle of Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light I noticed that its only half full. The scent is very fresh and I like it. When applied it surprised me how non greasy and light it is. It has a very thin consistency and within just a second it was fully absorbed by my skin. I even reapplied because its like I didn't put anything at all. However that is okay, because not all moisturizing products sits on the skin. I applied it on my recent acne breakout but it doesn't seem to be very effective on minimizing it. However after less than a month of usage my skin has certainly felt moisturized inside out. Its also brighter and I believe my dark spots has also lightened a bit. I've been using Nature SC Honey Ampoule everyday so it didn't really lasted too long on me.

How much and where to buy?
P160 at www.shopee.ph/minahree

What I love
Lightly scented
Moisturizing
Not sticky
Didn't broke me out
Easily absorbed by the skin
Affordable
Not easily accessible - you can only buy online

What I don't
No english translations/ ingredient list or expiration on the bottle

Will I repurchase?
Yes, I just did.

Overall~
Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light is a pretty affordable ampoule and since it does what it says I am giving it a few more tries. For a korean skincare ampoule this is a steal.

Review: Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream

I personally don't go for matte lipsticks before because I like lip tints better. The Korean beauty trend of naturally tinted lips have gotten into me, big time. However when more brands released their own matte lip lines I got curious. What is so good with matte lipsticks that they're all into it? All of my  answers were answered when Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream arrived on our doorsteps.

What is it?

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream
This kissproof and transfer resistant lipcolor applies like a liquid lipstick that dries to a matte finish. It stays on your lips through day and night activities requiring minimal touch-ups.

Lightweight
Fragrance-free
Carmine-free
Paraben-free and
Not tested on animals

Packaging
Tadaaa~ Like any other liquid lipstick, Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream is in a clear plastic tube with sponge tip doe foot applicator. Its not flimsy and takes the right amount of product for a tinted natural lips look but if you're going for the full lips you will need to apply more.

Shades 1, 2 and 3 is actually a bit similar when you look at it so I need to double check the bottom part where they have the shade number and shade printed. The ingredient list is on the plastic cover of the lip cream.

Experience
Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream is very smooth to apply. In terms of texture think of velvet matte and its very comfortable to wear. When applied heavily it stays the whole day. The darker the shade you use, the more long lasting it is. Its highly pigmented because it can cover my lips with just one swipe. The color is opaque but I don't recommend layering it much because it will crack and it will already feel heavy. I ate and drink and the color is still there with very minimal fading. This one is kissproof and transfer resistant and indeed very matte! Its fragrance free, light weight and non-sticky. If my lips is not properly moisturized sometimes the lip cream accentuate lip lines.

Matte looks bring out the corporate girl in me. Amazingly it lasts 6 hours on me. Its very creamy but dries into matte with the sufficient time for you to blend it in and make the application even.

01 Retro
Orangey nude shade, I'd like it more if its more brown but I like how fresh it makes me look. It doesn't make me look warm too even though it has an orange undertone.

02 Glamour
Creamy rose pink. A pink undertone nude shade which looks rosey pink in the tube but peachy pink when applied.

03 Rebel
Barbie pink shade that has a lot of purple undertone. It lasts long and its very nice especially when dabbed on the lips.

04 Vintage
Its like an old deep rose shade with a lot of brown.

05 Vixen
A red shade which leans more on red orange. I like how bright it looks on my lips and in the tube.

At first its shiny when applied but its pure matte when left after a minute or two. I like using my fingers to dab it on. I like it natural looking, but sometimes it just depends on my mood.

And then, here’s how it looks when I wear it. Among 5 shades my favorite would be Vixen.

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Rebel

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Retro

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Vixen

There is supposedly 5 photos for each shade, sadly I accidentally deleted the other two. :(
(I will try to update this post with the missing shades when I can.)

How much and where to buy?
P299

What I love
  • Pigmented
  • The applicator is not flimsy (I like using fingers for the 'tinted' look though)
  • Affordable
  • Long-lasting
  • Doesn't budge when set
  • Doesn't make lips dry nor peel
  • Wearable colors
  • Comfortable and light
  • Non-sticky
  • If not layered too much, it doesn’t crack
What I don't
  • May accentuate lip lines
Will I repurchase?
I really like Vixen and Rebel. If you need a nude shade you may choose one from Glamour, Retro and Vintage. They have very minimal color difference in actual.

Overall~
With so many brands joining the bandwagon of matte lipsticks I can say Silky Girl did a pretty good job with their Matte Junkie Lip Creams. It doesn't dry my lips despite being matte and all shades look flattering on me. The color looks opaque even without layering. Its smooth and creamy and definitely unscented. It may settle on the lip line but it still depends on how you apply it.

Removing it is also not an issue, just soap and water and you're good. You bet this is a good choice, if you're in for a matte long lasting color then try Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream.

Review: Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder Foundation

Hello November! I had the writer's block lately its like I want to write but I don't have creativity to do it. I know other bloggers feel the same every now and then, especially when there are a lot of things happening at work than in real life! Lately I feel like I don't have the work-life balance anymore. Well maybe its just me adjusting with my new environment, I am yet to find out. Anyway gals so I am drifting away from our review for the day, I know I owe you a lot of beauty reviews already, so sorry! Packaging
I am in love with their baby pink plastic compact powder. It easily closes and with a click, it locks for safety. I really like how nice and girly it is, its something I can proudly use because its definitely my color!

Experience
Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder is actually the 2nd powder foundation I've tried from Silky Girl. The first one is __. This powder is unscented and doesn't have shimmers. Its not powdery and there is minimal fall outs even when I've used brush for the application, I prefer the sponge it comes with though. Its very useable, unflimsy and doesn't smell! Its also very smooth to apply and it doesn't accentuate pores at all, it gives light to medium coverage. It also brightens up my skin tone and it gives an effortless natural flawless look. The end result is matte but not flat and can keep the oil at bay for 2-3 hours. I've used this as a finishing powder as well where I've used it on top of my bb cream because its very light on the face. I still use concealer if I have dark marks I want to cover.

How much and where to buy?
available at Silky Girl kiosks at the leading department stores and beauty supplies shops such as W

What I love
  • Matte but radiant finish
  • Long lasting
  • Doesn't accentuate pores
  • Light to medium coverage
  • No shimmers
  • Matte but not flat
  • Very smooth to apply
  • Unscented
  • Not powdery with minimum fall outs
  • Sponge is not flimsy!
  • Perfect for natural flawless look
  • Can be a finishing powder
  • Light on the face
  • Didn't break me out
  • Not 3 but 4 shade range!
  • Value for money

What I don't
  • Average staying power

TIPS
For even lighter coverage you may use a kabuki brush for application.

Will I repurchase?
Yes

Overall~
II really like how Silky Girl doesn't disappoint with their powder foundation. Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder Foundation is for office girls like me who wants a decent powder foundation that fits all their needs but wants to spend within the budget.

Review: Snow Skin Whitening Cream

Its Tuesday once again and its raining crazy outside. This is the perfect weather for sleeping and getting extra charge since most of you are on a holiday. We are exempted though but I am contented with just having 8 hours of beauty sleep. Vida Nutriscience has sent me their complete line of whitening products and it includes Snow Skin Whitening Cream which I use just before sleeping.

What is it?
Snow Skin Whitening Cream says:
Reveal the beautiful You with SNOW Skin Whitening Cream's Elite 7 Skin Whitening Actives that whiten and lighten the skin while reversing skin problems such as dark spots, age spots, acne marks, old scars, uneven skin tone and melasma.

Get luminous white skin that is naturally bright. Redeem your beautiful skin. Keep the natural beauty glowing from within.

ELITE 7 Skin Whitening Actives:
1. IBR TCLC (Tomato Colorless Carotenoids)
2. IBR-Snow flake
3. Plant extract from the Swiss alps
4. Bearberry extract
5. Alpha arbutin
6. Beta glucan
7. Phenylethyl Resorcinol

How to use: After cleansing & toning apply generous amount to your face.

Packaging
I like the airless pump dispenser, its made with sturdy plastic material and it has Snow's simple but classy black, white and red combination. Handle the transparent cap with care because its a bit delicate, mine just broke.

Experience
Snow Skin Whitening Cream is a scented moisturizer which is good if you like scented face products. I prefer unscented face products I got used to it after using it more often. The cream is light gray in color and its thick in consistency but spreads easily. I would like to use this on the rainy season because its a heavy type of moisturizer. It blurs out my pores so definitely something I like to use under makeup if I won't be commuting. There is an instant radiant effect upon application. After a month of usage, my skin tone has evened out but what is more, I noticed that dark marks left by my present breakouts are not visible as they were.

How much and where to buy?
1 bottle is 50ml and it costs P1499

What I love
  • Hydroquinone free
  • Paraben-free
  • Airless dispenser
  • Lightened dark acne marks
  • Moisturized my skin well
  • Great for the cold rainy weather
  • Radiant skin after application
  • Easy to spread

What I don't
  • Not a fan of scented products
  • Can be heavy or sticky when used for the day
  • Not easily absorbed by skin
  • Not for humid weather
  • Steep price for 50ml whitening cream

Will I repurchase?
I have a couple of moisturizers to finish but I'll definitely consider this on the rainy days.

Overall~
Snow Skin Whitening Cream can be your best bet for winter or chilly season. It might be too heavy for summer or when you will commute for the day so I suggest that you use it only at night. I love how well moisturized and radiant my skin is whenever I use this. In terms of whitening I can only speak for the lightened dark marks but who knows what will happen after a bottle or two? I recommend this to girls with dry skin who wants to try a highly moisturizing product that also promises to whiten the skin. It has very safe ingredients so if you are in for something new from the usual kojic or vitamin C creams, you've got to try this.

What is your favorite moisturizer for the rainy season?
