Review: Cream Silk Hydra Fresh Light Conditioner in Fresh and Bouncy

Hello September! Now that it's cold and breezy my hair doesn't get too greasy anymore as compared in the summer. It's not a big secret that I am a big fan of Cream Silk, during Lazada's sale I got myself 5 big bottles of Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue! How crazy is that? Next time I'll get a one year supply if I have the funds LOL. Anyway so I ran out of my favorite conditioner and just in time, I saw a new commercial which was the Cream Silk Hydra Fresh Light Conditioner in Fresh and Bouncy which is for limp and flat hair. At first, I wasn't even aware of the variant, all I know is this new variant is baby pink!

What is it?
Cream Silk Hydra Fresh Light Conditioner in Fresh and Bouncy for limp and flat hair.
Cream Silk's lightest and freshest conditioning system yet. Infused with the power and Hydracollagen Technology, It gets instantly absorbed to feel hydrated and quench dryness.

3 Main Points:
Water-based
Non-greasy
Easy-Rinse

Directions:
After shampoo massage through hair from mid to tip. Rinse well after 1 minute. For best results use every day.

Packaging
I will be honest in saying that the reason why I purchase this was because of the packaging's color. Call me shallow on this matter but pink plays a big part in my decisions haha.

The flip cap opening is typical for the Cream Silk conditioners. Too bad because I got a defective one which won't close and the product was a mess when I got it from the plastic bag.

Experience
So like I've mentioned I didn't even know I was buying a variant for limp and flat hair, my hair is neither very oily though so I think I am somewhere in between those lines. My hair as you all know is chemically treated and usually dry. For this line, Cream Silk has this in Fresh and Hydrated variant for Oily and Greasy hair. This one, on the other hand, is a baby blue bottle.

The first impression is that it smells very feminine although I like my Triple Keratin Rescue scent more. That can just be me though, this one also smells nice but to each is own. The conditioner itself is white and more on the watery side. If this is some other brand I will think that it won't moisturize my hair at all because it seemed so light. The formula is water-based true to their claims and it's very easy to spread on my hair strands. Rinsing the conditioner is also quick and easy due to the easy rinse formula and I've only left it for a minute. Good on the days where you are in a hurry and it won't leave a residue as it's non-greasy. On weekends I like to let it stay longer  on my hair.

True enough, my hair is bouncy after it air-dried. My hair has the natural volume so I can't say it's volumized but it's light and fragrant. I want to believe the intense hydration because my hair doesn't feel dry to touch now.

How much and where to buy?

P228.75 for 300ml in Puregold Supermarket. You can also snag a bottle in Watsons or leading supermarkets nationwide.

What I love
Water-based which makes it a conditioner that will weigh the hair down
My hair is bouncy but still light
Hair is soft to touch and not dry
Non-greasy formula
Easy rinse which means it'll save me water
Perfect conditioner to use when in a hurry
Affordable!
Product is available almost anywhere

What I don't
Nothing I can mention

Will I repurchase?
I might try the blue one next time!

Overall~
Although I really really love the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue, I must say that their new line Cream Silk Hydra Fresh Light Conditioner in Fresh and Bouncy is also true to their claims. I was able to hydrate my hair in as fast as 1 minute and I couldn't be any happier. Price is also a big thumbs up of course. Overall, I recommend you guys to try this conditioner.

Review: EPSA Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment

Heavy rains everyday! As you can see I am trying my best to be active my social media accounts lately. This post is a bit of a throwback, I already finish this stuff! We are more on hair care ladies and gents as I seldom do makeup nowadays. I am mostly at home because I started  my homebased job back in June. Okay so to start, our review for today is for EPSA Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment. I have gotten this for my heavily bleached hair. I needed to get some shine even though my hair is real dry. I don't really cut my hair but I'm fond of changing colors.

What is it?
EPSA Brazilian Keratin Blow Out Treatment is an innovative Solution to a healthier and smoother hair. Frizz-free and Tangle-free for normal, colored, treated, rebonded or bleached hair, making it more manageable and straighter.

One set of EPSA Brazilian Blowout comes in 3 bottles - shampoo, keratin treatment and after treatment conditioner.

Packaging
They are in big brown plastic easy to pump bottles.

Experience
So based on instructions:
Shampoo hair using #1 EPSA Clarifying Shampoo bottle to open the cuticle of the hair for optimal results.
👒 Wash hair twice for all hair types.
👒 Towel dry hair leaving enough moisture.
👒 Section hair into four parts. (wearing of gloves is important).

Let us start with EPSA clarifying shampoo. I am already aware that this will be drying as this type of shampoo cuts through product buildup and oils to leave your hair squeaky clean. Read more: what is clarifying shampoo? The consistency is very thin, and I have no complaints on the smell. Given that my hair is bleached I tried to use as little of this  product as much as possible.

Next is the EPSA Keratin Blowout:
👒 Apply #2 EpSA Keratin Blow Out bottle into hair using brush, 1/8 inch away from scalp to the ends.
👒 Do not over-saturate, remove excess product using a fine tooth comb.
👒 Do not rinse, blow dry the hair up to 100% dry using a round brush.
👒 After blow drying the product on the hair.
👒 Proceed with ironing.
👒 Using a flat iron with 230°c, start at the nape of the neck taking 1-2 inch sections (Paper thin sections).
👒 Slowly move iron from root to ends.
👒 Pass over each section 3-4 times for sensitized hair or 4-8 times for resistant / virgin hair.
👒 After ironing the hair, rinse hair with water and apply #3 EpSA Conditioning Cream bottle then rinse thoroughly.
👒 Towel dry hair then final blow dry up to 100% dry before ironing again (optional).

The keratin treatment smells like chemical. I literally had my eyes crying because of the scent lingers even when I have already covered my head with the shower cap. While ironing I felt like my strands are being drier with each pass of iron.

Lastly will be the conditioner. The conditioner is very thin as well. I doubt that it will do anything to my dry strands. So here is my before and after photo. I actually managed to finish this set and I must say nothing changed with my hair condition.

How much and where to buy?
P1300 via Shopee

What I love

  • I like how straight my hair looks after the process and it stays that way for 3 days even when I wash it.

What I don't

  • The whole treatment is a tedious task.
  • I felt my hair became drier after the whole process
  • Didn't gave any shine
  • The keratin treatment smells like very bad chemical, and it tears me up

Will I repurchase?
No.

Overall~
I don't really feel that EPSA Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment did any wonderful for my hair as the effect was only temporary. The process is also very tedious and the effect is just mediocre. I also don't like the fact that I am tearing up every time I use it. Sadly this hair care product is not for me, I might try have another brazilian treatment but the next time, I will go to the salon.

Review: Human Heart Nature Acne Defense Solution Gel

Hello lovelies! Don't you just love binge watching kdrama every now and then? I can't praise enough how immaculate their actors and actress skin is. Being born with acne prone skin I seldom experience clear complexion. Maybe there are good days but there are more breakouts than I can ever imagine! And so, I am always on the lookout for acne gels. I tend to jump from one brand to another because I have noticed that after a while, my skin gets used to the product and it stops on being effective on me. I found Human Heart Nature Acne Defense Solution Gel which seems promising. It's offered by a really good local brand Human heart nature. They vouch for natural and local sourced ingredients. What is there not to love? I have been dying to try their mineral makeup, I'll maybe buy one when I finish my stash.

What is it?
Human Heart Nature Acne Defense Solution Gel
Clear skin without the risk
Get clearer-looking skin without the harmful side effects of chemical treatments. This potent blend of tea tree oil and pimple-fighting actives penetrates the skin to help crack down on breakouts and dry out blemishes.

Fewer pimples in 7 days*
In an independent 7-day clinical trial, fewer pimples were observed on 76% of Acne Defense Solution Gel users compared with only 26% of Popular Brand B users and 29% of popular Brand P users.

*2-week independent clinical study on users of Human Nature Acne Defense Solution Gel and users of popular chemical acne treatment brands

Be acne-free in three!
Step 1: Cleanse your face with Acne Defense Facial Wash.
Step 2: Apply Acne Defense Face Toner using gentle swipes

source: Human Heart Nature

Packaging
The packaging is sanitary. It offers an easy to press top.

Experience
The acne gel indeed smells like tea tree and smells soothing for me. I dab this on my zits and it doesn't sting. I always make sure to apply Human Heart Nature Acne Defense Solution Gel whenever I get breakouts and I noticed that it minimizes the acne after 2 days. It quickly diminishes the bump afterwards and I really like how it doesn't leave dark marks. It's like I never had acne at all.

I've tried other acne gels in the market before but it leaves dry patches and dark marks. This on the other hand is a winner on both categories.
How much and where to buy?
P200 in Human Heart Nature stores. Trinoma Malls offers their product already!

What I love
  • It minimizes my pimples in as fast as 1-2 days
  • It doesn't sting as much as chemically laden anti-acne skincare
  • It didn't leave dark marks
  • It's very affordable
What I don't
Nothing I can mention

Will I repurchase?
YES. This is my beauty staple now.

Overall~
Human Heart Nature Acne Defense Solution Gel just simple works. It is on sale for P200 but only you can get it for P160 from authorized sellers in Shopee.

What is your favorite anti-acne product?

DIY PINK HAIR
Yes I finally finished a VLOG on how I achieved my DIY Pink Hair. It's affordable and very easy. You can actually do the same method to get lavender, peach, mint etc! As long as your hair is blonde, much better if platinum then the trick will work.

Anyone who likes DIY will have lots of fun with colors. There is no limit to this method. Come and watch my very first video using DIY pink hair conditioner! Sorry if I came like very tense and nervous haha. I'll see if I get used to it.

I have a few ideas on what to post next, mostly about beauty, skincare, hair care, maybe music and a bit of travel. Any questions just comment down below!

Recent Beauty Purchases for 2019

Fret not guys I didn't forget you! Life has been real busy and I am getting for another transition in my life. Adulting is sure exhausting. Anyhows I have been a big lurker of online shopping and Watsons lately, I just thought of sharing what I am up to these days.

Recent Purchase for 2019

Silky Girl Philippines is on 50‰ off!! That is why I got another BB all in one foundation and 20hrs water proof black eye liner.

Naturactor powder foundation - I was head over heels in love with their cream foundation so I got the powder counterpart to see how it fares.

The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc - I have been seeing a lot of reviews for this product and I was itching to try it myself.

Seoul white instant whitening cream - A non-oily instant whitening cream as I can remember. It even comes in a sampler size!

Skin white whitening lotion — My sister swears by this whitening lotion so hopefully it can help lighten the dark insect bites on my legs.

Efficascent Oil - A must as a massage oil. I really like the scent and it's not so minty like before. It is the right kick for relaxation.

Overall~
Would you like me to review any of these product? So far so good!

Review: SILKYGIRL Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation

After my most recent breakout (what? not again?!) I planned on getting a new foundation that is safe and won't be too heavy on my skin. It is just in time when I got Silkygirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation on my stash and it's what we have for today's review, let's go!

What is it?
Silkygirl says:
Its Nano Seaweed Plus Vitamin E ingredient acts as anti-oxidants against free-radicals, protecting skin from the appearance of fine lines. The Nanospheres 100 Vitamin A Palmitate penetrate deep into skin to increase its renewal rate and eliminate dullness. Contains SPF 30 and PA+++ to shield skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays.

• SPF30/PA+++
• Healthier complexion
• Youthful-looking skin
• Formulated for Asian skin

They offer 4 shades in total which are: 1 Light, 2 Natural, 3 Medium, 4 Tan.

Packaging
I like how the tube fits my hands as well as my kit. I can practically bring it anywhere. It has a scre type lid and it small tube opening dispenses just the right amount of cream (not in photos, sorry). Like the other products I got with this bunch, the foundation is also plastic sealed and the ingredients are on it and not on the actual tube so I took this photo instead. I really like how it was mentioned that the product is 'not tested on animals'. Bonus point for that Silkygirl! *wink*

Experience
Silkygirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation's offers 4 shades but I can basically wear them all. The shade adjusts to my skin tone after a while, it seems like a BB cream. It does make my pores appear smaller and it doesn't look oily. The liquid comes a bit runny but its spreads easily. The finish is more on velvet matte because it doesn't look flat matte after the application.

Here is the swatch of the Silkygirl liquid foundation in 1 Light, 2 Natural, 3 Medium and 4 Tan.

On photos it might look not look very flawless but in real life it looks a lot better. To prolong the staying power I use finishing powder on top. I recommend using powder on top of liquid foundations and/or BB creams for a more flawless finish every time.

I am usually not aiming for a full makeup and I feel like it decently blur slight dark spots but if aiming for full coverage there is still the need for concealer.

How much and where to buy?
P329 for 25ml.

What I love
  • Doesn't test on animals
  • Feels light on the skin
  • Has SPF for sun protection against UVA with PA+++ as well as UVB!
  • Keeps skin hydrated
  • Smooth and natural finish
  • Pores appeared smaller
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Decently covers slight dark spots
  • A little goes a long way

What I don't
  • Nothing I can mention

TIPS
Top it off with a light finishing powder for a flawless finish!

Will I repurchase?
I like it, so yes.

Overall~
I find Silkygirl Skin Perfect Liquid Foundation more on the natural light coverage and it does let my skin breathe! It did not add to my current skin problem and it is very natural. A foundation that is best to be used during mornings when you won't need heavy makeup and it even has SPF.

Review: Silkygirl Shimmer Duo Blusher

silkygirl shimmer duo blusher review

Hello gals! Who else here joined the last Shopee and Lazada sale? With the holidays approaching, those sales are surely banking a lot of moolah, I can't help but do a checkout for my wish list there. In addition to that I got my own planner for next year, I bought a unicorn planner from my sister which is also featured in today's product photos for Silkygirl Shimmer Duo Blusher! Woohoo, it's been a while since I reviewed a blush so this is something new. More photos after the jump!

What is it?
Silkygirl says:
Blusher with ultra-fine texture and silky smooth formula, in pairs of shimmer and non-shimmer for highlight and natural glows. Non-comedogenic, fragrance-free. Formulated for Asian Skin.

silkygirl shimmer duo blusher

Packaging
The packaging is cute and the top is transparent so I can easily find the right shade I need. It is compact and comes with a soft brush on-the-go, the only thing missing is the mirror.

I like how the product is well sealed upon purchase and the ingredient list as well as the manufacturing date is clearly specified at the back of the case.

Experience
Silkygirl Shimmer Duo Blusher comes in pair of shimmer and matte shades. It gives a natural glow when applied together. It comes in 4 shades. From left to right: Cheeky Peach - Sunset Glow - Petal Pink - Sunset Glow.

A closer look to each shade:

 01- Cheeky Peach
The left light pink's shimmers is very subtle and can be used together with the light orange shade for a hint of glow.

 02- Blushing Pink
Both of the colors in the pan has light shimmers. Both of them are very light pink and best used as a highlighter.

 03- Rose Petal
The blusher with the best color pay-off among the four. The combination of very light pink and dusty rose on the right is good. This is my favorite from the bunch and both of them have very light shimmers.

 04- Sunny Glow
This is a summer light orangey shade blush and looks great when applied with the light shimmer.

Now time for swatches! The texture is nice, smooth and blends nicely although it's a bit chalky. The pigmentation is too light for a blush in my opinion but it can be good if you want some glow without looking too made up. I needed to swipe it for 4-5 times for the color to show but it still doesn't appear vibrant on photos.

How much and where to buy?
P329 available in Silkygirl kiosks nationwide, you may also check out their website.

What I love
  • Texture is smooth
  • Blends nicely
  • Gives a subtle glow
  • Cute case with clear cover
  • Buildable colors
  • Can be used as a highlighter
  • Didn't break me out
  • Formulated for asian skin
  • Comes with a brush
  • Case is sealed upon purchase

What I don't
  • A bit chalky
  • Poor pigmentation
  • Needs constant touch ups
  • No mirror with the case

Will I repurchase?
As a blush no, but for a subtle highlighter maybe yes but I got all of them now. I'm not sure when will I finish all of my blushes.

Overall~
I only recommend Silkygirl Shimmer Duo Blusher for make-up starters who doesn't like to look "too done" and just needs a subtle glow.

Review: Pax Moly Organic Argan Silky Fortifying Hair Oil

I am a big fan of coconut oil for my hair. I usually use it as an overnight treatment for my bleached hair. It works wonders in adding moisture but I don't like the smell of coconut for my hair when I go outside. Luckily there is Pax Moly Organic Argan Silky Fortifying Hair Oil to the rescue. I have read good things about it and it is even called liquid gold in a bottle, let us know why shall we?

What is it?
Pax Moly Organic Argan Silky Fortifying Hair Oil says:

Packaging
A full-size bottle goes at 200ml

Experience
Argan oil is called liquid gold for its color and for the reason that it's really rare. I am so happy to have started using this. It smells like perfume except that this is an oil form. It is easily absorbed by the hair so it doesn't really make my hair greasy.

To be honest I also use this as before and after hair leave on when ironing my hair. I heard oils can fry the hair but it doesn't with this one. It might be with the hair iron I use because it's for dry and wet hair however this oil makes it shinier rather than when I use nothing.

Pax Moly Organic Argan Silky Fortifying Hair Oil makes my hair softer and tamed. No more frizzy waves. Sometimes I only use this on my ends to prevent split ends. I also tried using this argan oil as a massage oil and it does the job.

How much and where to buy?
P500 with trusted Pax Moly resellers.

What I love
  • I love the fragrance of this hair oil
  • Affordable
  • It tames my frizzy hair
  • Makes my hair softer and shinier
  • Can be used as an after iron hair oil
  • Best for bleached hair
  • Prevents split ends
  • Can be used as a massage oil
  • One bottle lasts long
  • Organic and natural
What I don't
  • None
Will I repurchase?
Yes.

Overall~
I tried different hair leave on which does nothing. Pax Moly Organic Argan Silky Fortifying Hair Oil simply does the job and I am glad that it's all-natural. It does all of the things it promises and it's worth a repurchase.

How about you what is your favorite hair oil or hair leave-on product?

Review: Ishigaki-Advanced Ultrawhite-L-Glutathione

I associate Glutathione in getting rid of breakouts as well as its bonus whitening effect. Unfortunately I have a love-hate relationship with glutathione because the effect can just either be good or bad. Good when I lighten my skin or when nothing happens but bad when it made my skin sensitive or itch. I have tried Ishigaki-Advanced Ultrawhite-L-Glutathione just recently because I find it cheap, let's see how it fared.

What is it?

Ishigaki-Advanced Ultrawhite-L-Glutathione

This Free Form Reduced Glutathione aids in increased cellular absorption and action, making it a physician quality immune and detoxification supplement.

There are fake Ishigaki glutathione in the market today so be sure to buy from trusted sellers.

Instruction for use: Take 1 capsule + 500 mg Vitamin C twice a day. You can take it 30 minutes before or after eating. You can use any kind of Vitamin C as long as it is 500 mg twice a day.

Packaging
This gets a thumbs up for the sealed plastic packaging.

Experience
I take one Ishigaki capsule with Rhea Ascorbic Acid every night. Just like what they say, an authentic Ishigaki-Advanced Ultra White will smell like rotten egg but it doesn't matter much really because taking the capsule only takes seconds. My only complaint is that its too big to swallow.

To start with, I have naturally fair skin. What I dislike about my skin is that it is dull. And I want to have a glowing and healthy looking complexion. I barely noticed the change after a month. I guess I have to take more.

How much and where to buy?
I got in on sale in Shopee for P950 for 60 capsules.

What I love
  • Price wise this is cheaper than my old glutathione capsule favorite.
  • It comes with plastic seal and other seal onside
  • Stinky rotten egg smell which means its authentic
  • Skin has a bit glow after taking Ishigaki
  • There was no changes in my skin tone
  • Batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the package. There's also the TDC initials embossed at the bottom of the bottle packaging and this is one proof that the product is authentic.
What I don't
  • Capsules are too big to swallow
  • I'm not sure if its BFAD approved
  • Available only online
  • I became more prone to breakouts after taking them I might be allergic to ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid).
Will I repurchase?
Contemplating if I should.

Overall~
So that's it for Ishigaki-Advanced Ultrawhite-L-Glutathione, its something that gave me a faint glow but also broke me out. I guess we are not meant to be, lol. I will still continue in taking glutathione in the future but for detoxification process only. I have started going to the derma recently and she advised me not to take gluta anymore.

Review: Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion SPF 50/PA+++

A matte BB cream is a rare find especially on cushions! That is why I often reach out for my foundations more when its hot and humid because I don't want to be a grease ball at the end of the day. But gone are the days of dissatisfaction with BB creams when I started using Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion SPF 50/PA+++.

Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion SPF 50/PA+++

What is it?
This BB Cushion is enriched with beneficial key ingredients like Skin Light Complex, Eldelweiss Extract and it is rich in mineral water to keep skin looking fresh and youthful to make you stand out. Dap on this BB Cushion and tap-tap on skin for medium to high coverage. Available in 2 shades; 01 Natural Light, and 02 Natural Medium.

• 12-hour Oil-Control
• Fragrance-free
• SPF50/PA+++
• Formulated for Asian Skin

Packaging
Their white plastic compact reminds me of the old Clean and clear powder I have before, it's pretty basic but clean looking. On top it has the Silkygirl logo which faded after a while.

Experience
Beauty is only skin deep! What matters is the inside, which also goes with this Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion SPF 50/PA+++. The cushion is made out of soft foam which has the 15g of product. It doesn't leak nor dry out and so far I have been using mine for a month now.

The 2 shades lean more on yellow undertone which is great because often than not most of the korean BB creams are greyish or has a pink undertone. The 2 shades is still insufficient because if you are pretty fair like me you might find this a bit dark. For normal skinned gals you may use it as is. It is a true matte and won't make you oil up. For finishing touches I like to top it off with a bit of powder for a more flawless finish.

Sometimes though if the skin is too dry (which is what my skin usually is when I use my acne cream) it can make the pores look bigger so make sue to moisturize. I also find that the coverage on red marks is pretty good but it doesn't last long. It fades on me and at the end of the day it seems I didn't put anything on my face at all. What I like to do to solve this is to layer it on sunblock. Using sunblock underneath it actually helps it stay longer as it adheres better to the skin. I use Celeteque sunblock cream. You may also opt to use a liquid foundation or BB cream if you're not a fan of sunblock.

How much and where to buy?
P675 available in Lazada, BeautyMNL and Silkygirl kiosks nationwide.

What I love
  • SPF 50 PA+++
  • Brightens and hydrates
  • Oil Control
  • Long wearing
  • Fragrance-free
  • Formulated for Asian skin
What I don't
  • None so far

Will I repurchase?
YES! Hopefully there can be a lighter shade in the future.

Overall~
Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion SPF 50/PA+++ is an awesome find and it does stand out among the BB cushions available today as the matte effect is perfect for the Philippine weather and the shades are perfect for Filipinas. Price wise this is also budget friendly, it doesn't break the bank and it doesn't dry easily.

And that's today's review. What's your favorite BB cushion right now?
