Beauty Goodies from my Japan Trip

Hello beauties, Happy Tuesday! Have you seen the 'Super Moon' last night? I was not able to get a good glimpse because of some reason but I saw cool photos in facebook. Boy it was beautiful~ :)

I want to include a short sneak peek on my next reviews. I had a quick beauty shopping in Japan during my last trip. Actually on the way to shopping, when we went to the subway station we asked one girl for directions. She is very kind and she have this pretty pink cheeks I adore. I took courage to ask what brand of blush does she use? Can you guess what brand it is? Read till the last part of this post!

To those who might be curious, the best places to buy these are at Don Quijote and Aeon Shopping Malls. Both offers tax free shopping and lower than ordinary prices. However take note also that there are some items that might only be available in drugstores. Ehem, lezz start!

Biore Facial Foam

I intend to give this to my sister ehem ehem. I am not sure if we have this here in Manila.

San Sophia Whip Premium Cleansing Foam
This product is said to work like Shiseido Perfect Whip, it was on sale so yeah I gave in to my curiosity.

Biore Marshmallow Facial Wash
I love the cutesy pink push bottle packaging.

Cezanne Eyebrow Powder in 01
I was looking for something I can put on my brows. I like how it have 3 colors similar to the shadow I also purchased.

Cezanne Eyeshadow in 01
I never tried this brand before, but I really really love the shimmer shadows of the pretty japanese girls I see on the streets. Its a dreamy beautiful shimmers.

Lip Baby Color Fruits Lip Balm in Peach Pink
For my sister again, well its an early Christmas gift? Its a lightly tinted balm with UV protection.

Lip Baby Fruits Lip Balm in White Peach Flavor
I also bought something for myself, its just fruity with white peach flavor but no color, it also have UV protection!

-oOo-

Okay so please never mind that I bought a bunch of facial cleansers! >_<" Actually I originally intend to buy Biore Make up remover or Kose but I cannot find the variant I wanted. The description are all in japanese, for tourists, like me its hard to buy stuff of course when I can't stand a thing. Luckily I have google for this, I just check out the image of the product I want to buy. Not in pictures, I also have Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion, The Faceshop Oil Clear Blotting Powder and Etude House Color My Brows. The korean brands are not from Japan, I actually got them in Changgi Airport. YAY!~

Before I end the post, the beautiful pink blush was actually Shiseido Maquillage PK200! It costs JPY 3500 in the airport Duty Free. I was not able to spot it on the places I've been. Its expensive but I dream to get one someday. The kind lady showed me the actual package. Hoho~

So that sums up my quick sneak peek on my next entries. Lemme know what you think about them?

Review: Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence with BB SPF 50 PA+++

Hot summer, hot hot summer! I can hear f(x) singing to the beat. I

Now that its summer, it became harder than usual to avoid oiliness. The heat of summer is equals to melted foundation and sweaty mornings. Ugh~ During these days I avoid too much product layering, though when in terms of makeup I am only a minimalist (thin liner, tint and powder and I'm good to go! mehehe, the power of always being in a hurry!) I often forget to put sunscreen, good thing that I am a fan of bb creams because they are multi purpose, foundation and sunblock in just one product. However some of the brands I use are quite heavy and worst is that it makes me oily and it settles on my pores. Arrgh.

So while looking at my stash I found Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence with BB SPF 50 PA+++.

My Biore BB cream is a sponsored product and I am glad to have it just in time for summer. (Thank you!)

What is it?
A BB cream with very high SPF. It comes in one shade and it offers light to medium coverage.

No oil but contains parabens, basically its water based.

Packaging
It comes in a handy tube, just the right size like Maybelline. I think it only comes in one size as well. The tube is very girly, the color is pearl pink and I super duper love the color. <3 The tube dispenses only just the right amount of product each and every time.

Experience
When I first got hold of Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence with BB SPF 50 PA+++ (such long name, phew~) I was confused if its a sunblock or a bb cream. Upon research I found out that its supposed to act like a color correcting cream. This is my very first Japanese bb cream and I don't know what to expect. When I made a swatch it became more evident that the coverage is very light. I find that a little goes a long way with this product, its not runny but not oily at the same time, it spreads really easily.

I think of reviewing it based on their product promise, so here it goes:

Superior Long-lasting Sweat proof Double UV Block - Yes! My makeup is still intact even after a sweaty ride in the PNR train. It doesn't ruin my makeup at all and it even have this high spf, the highest among my bb creams. It protects my skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays of the sun which is the cause of premature aging, yikes. (Let us all use sunscreen just like our korean baby skin idols, shall we?)

Weightless Texture with BB Coverage - Its very light like its not there. I can even apply this alone (without any moisturizer underneath when I am running late for the office). I use this both under powder and sometimes even liquid foundation and it never caked! I have never worn this alone because I will look oily.

3D Brightening Effect - After one application face looks glowing and its even yellow based unlike the usual grayish undertone bb creams. It fits all skintones as it adapts to the skin tone after a few minutes. It also doesn't settle in my pores and that is a huge plus.

Long-lasting Oil Control Yet Hydrating So it contains hydraulic acid and citrus for hydration, It doesn't tug and blends so well. Its perfect as a makeup base, I just top it off with powder foundie to at least mattify the product.

Gentle and Mild I like scentless for face products so the fact that Biore bb is unscented is great. I've used this also when I was suffering from too dry skin and I am glad to say that it doesn't highlight dry patches.

How much and where to buy?
I found out that they have this at Landmark, online its available at www.beautymnl.com. Price as per last check is P450.

What I love
  • Lightweight and non-sticky
  • SPF 50 PA+++
  • Oil free
  • Yellow undertone
  • Fits any skintone -it doesn't matter if you're morena or fair skinned
  • Minimizes pores upon application
  • Perfect makeup base
  • Long lasting
  • Economic -  a little goes a long way
  • Multi-purpose: Sunblock and makeup base in one!
  • Doesn't break me out

What I don't
  • Little to no coverage (this could have been perfect summer bb already!)

TIPS
If you have combination skin like mine you can use loose powder to mattify the bb cream.
Do not wear this if you plan on having photo shoots, I bet there will be serious white cast due to the high spf.

Will I repurchase?
Prolly yes! I like how Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence with bb instantly brightens up my complexion and I still put despite the heat. Its also affordable because one tube will last a long time.

Overall~
Hehe somehow I must say in my experience you can never go wrong with japanese products. Mehehe~

Anyway I want to try a good makeup remover, any suggestions?
Lemme close this post with one of the newest music video of Twice~
Cheer up baby! Cheer up baby! Sometimes all we need is a happy song to kick start the week. Till next post guys!
