Review: Milk Essence Whitening Beauty

I dropped by Trinoma months back with a friend when I found this lotion. I use leg foundation sometimes when I wear skirts or shorts. But I've also tried Moist lotion before, which I reviewed here. Because it was sticky, I stopped using it. Until a friend recommended Milk Essence Whitening Beauty Lotion. I've seen other girls also use this on their face. But I am quite sensitive to thick consistency products so I will skip that.

What is it?
To put it simply, Milk Essence Whitening Beauty is an instant whitening lotion. You may read their description, this is the back of the box.

 Packaging

Nothing much notable with the box, but there is no ingredients list. I can't see the manufacturing date but the expiration date is printed.

The Milk Essence Whitening Beauty bottle.

The bottle has nothing on it too, it says it contains vitamin C and milk, but there is still no ingredients list.

ExperienceMilk Essence Whitening Beauty is a pretty popular product, a lot are asking about it which is same with Moist Lotion.

The product is fluid like and it can instantly whiten the skin. Yes its tinted and just like Moist lotion the effect is of course only temporary. Its a bit sticky and not recommended to be used during humid days. If weather is okay, it stays the whole day until I wash it off. I actually needed to rinse it twice because one wash is not enough to remove the lotion.

I like to use this when I wear shorts and I need that extra 'oomph' of glow. I do like how it makes my legs look fair. Luckily it doesn't transfer as much like moist lotion on clothes. It says you can use it on the face but since I am sensitive to face products I would rather use it on my legs only instead.

See the effect on pale skin, see how it brightens with a little amount of product.

On darker skin tone.

How much and where to buy?
I think I got it for P160/100 ml bottle from Pop up store in Trinoma but I think you can also get it Lazada at P189.

What I love

  • The instant whitening effect
  • Little goes a long way
  • Brightens skin
  • Dries quickly
  • Long lasting
  • Doesn't transfer on clothes
  • Affordable

What I don't

  • Ingredients not listed
  • Not waterproof
  • No translation
  • No manufacturer's name & origin
Will I repurchase?
No.

Overall~
I've decided to use whitening soaps and lotions instead of tinted ones. Milk Essence Whitening Beauty Lotion good for instant whitening and I did not experienced irritation, however the ingredients is not listed nor the manufacturer's name which is the reason why I just cannot recommend it to everyone. You may use it at your own discretion especially if you have sensitive skin.

Review: Vitapack Whitening Lotion

Today is Wednesday Pink Day that is why I feel a lil' bit special. We all have this 'feeling' pretty days and this is one of them. Hohoho~ All is going well in work (except the traffic), my cat/dogs, family and there is nothing more I can ask for (except maybe extra bucks so I can save up for the future, any sideline you can recommend?)

Random thoughts ehem. So for today I would be reviewing Vitapack Whitening Lotion. When it comes to beauty products I do believe that what makes us feel good makes us look good as well.

What is it?
Vitapack Whitening Lotion lightens your skin and brings out your youthful radiance using a unique blend of Clairju from Japan, VB9 Plus from Korea, Ameliox from Switzerland, and Argan Oil from Morocco. Vitapack Whitening Lotion brightens, hydrates, and rejuvenates your skin, while protecting it from the aging effects of the sun. Powerful yet gentle formulation to erase blemishes, remove wrinkles, repair elasticity, boost cellular stimulation to leave you with deeply beautiful skin.

A close look with the ingredients:

Packaging
The lotion is in a pink squeeze tube pretty much like the usual lotions. It comes in 100g. tubes and I think the size is great for travel.

Experience
I am the type of person who don't use lotion much, I do not feel like I need it except when I see my legs already have flakes of dry skin (eeew~)
So I had started using Vitapack Whitening Lotion alongside Vitapack whitening soap. It is said to work hand in hand for faster whitening. Of course nothing is instant especially when it comes to whitening.
Very fun gif of the lotion mehehe~ my first gif here I guess?

The consistency is very creamy. spreadable, doesn't drag the skin at all. Its also non-greasy on the skin and is quickly absorb despite providing heavy moisture. Yes it is ultra heavy moisture gals! If your skin is drying from the aircon or other acid soaps you might be using, I am absolutely sure that this is the answer.

I used this during mornings and I perspire more than usual. Fuhuu~ Might be better to use during night time. They mentioned that we can use this on our face but uhum~ it is scented like body lotion. Well it is body lotion alright, but for face products I prefer unscented or really really mildly scented products. But do not get me wrong because I love it as my body lotion. Due to its very spreadable consistency I find that I only needed not so much product for the whole body which means value for the money.

I noticed after a few days of usage that my skin dryness is gone and my skin looks bright and healthy.

How much and where to buy?
P499 for 100g. tube. I don't think they have it at a bigger size yet. They also sell this in Zalora and Lazada.

What I love

  • Feminine floral scent
  • Delivers heavy moisture
  • Easily spreads on skin
  • Absorbed easily
  • Non-draggy
  • Bright healthy skin after usage
  • Little goes a long way

What I don't

  • Maybe the price can be steep for the budget
  • Cannot use for the face due to scent (maybe vitapack can make another whitening cream for face use only?)

TIPS:
Better if used at night, do not apply too much because it provides heavy moisture! (Not a big problem if you sleep with air conditioner on)

Will I repurchase?
This was given to me and I really like it. I might repurchase. :)

Overall~
This is a luxurious lotion which deserves a space in our beauty routine. One tube can last long and its worth the try if you are looking for a whitening routine which you can do for a long time.

They offer random promos and discounts, you can like their page here:

What is your current whitening routine now? Feel free to share it with me in the comments section below. :)

Review: Avon Skin So Soft: Soft and White Lotion Radiant Glow + Marula

"Formulated with Advanced Brightening Complex, pearl powder and precious Marula oil, provde immediate radiant fair skin, revealing a white and younger looking skin."

Before anything else is it just me or do you also think that the name is too long? LOL. This is part of my Avon loot (remember the shampoo?) from my tita.

I actually bought two variants. The other one is for deep moisture and this one is for whitening: Avon Skin so soft: Soft and White Radiant Glow Whitening Hand and Body Lotion + Marula. I purchase this lotion because I need a mild whitening lotion. I just used green peeling oil on my legs and bleaching lotion is kinda harsh for new skin.

I was captivated by the scent of this lotion. It smells heavenly for me. Some might find the scent overpowering but I just like it the way it is. The scent stays long, I applied at night and I can still smell the lotion when I wake up in the morning! The lotion is not sticky and is quickly absorbed by my skin. With just 3 days of usage I noticed that it lived up to its claims of 'radiant glow'. I can't comment on the whitening effects yet though, maybe I need to finish a few more bottles *wink*.

PROS:

  • Smells so good!
  • Not sticky
  • Cheap less than Php150 per 250 ml bottle

CONS:

  • For the price and quality? None.
Will I buy again? I want to try other lotions may it be for whitening or extra moisture, but since since Avon lotions are so affordable then there is no reason not to say yes.

How about you sweeties? What's your favorite whitening lotion? Feel free to comment down below! :)

Review: Miss Beauty Moist Lotion

Hi minna-san today my post is about Miss Beauty Moist Lotion. Miss Beauty is the 2nd brand of whitening lotion I have tried (Skin White was my first). This lotion has been receiving lots of raves in girltalk and the photos I have seen related with the instant whitening effects was unbelievable.

We can't deny the fact that today there are countless of whitening lotions that are sprouting in the market today. Not to mention the others which promises instant whitening effects.

Moist instant whitening lotion does whiten right after application and was said to gradually make you fairer after continuous usage. Anyway lets dig in to the real deal behind this lotion.

The look, feel and smell: I have the milk variant of this Moist lotion. The color is well expected white (scroll to see picture below). Texture is not sticky it glides smoothly to the skin and it smells like sweet milk too. You wont need much product as it spreads evenly and a bit of product can make you look a step whiter than you really are, a negative though because the one-step whiter effect looks a bit awkward and yeah unnatural.

(Miss Beauty Moist lotion-- cute sexy bottle LOL)

Price: One bottle with 310 ml. cost me around P120. But there are available refills online and offline though.

Contents: The bottle doesn't say the ingredients in detail but it mentioned milk protein, yogurt and pure soy protein.

Where to buy? Online-- sellers in facebook, sulit or Offline-- I heard they have this at 168 malls and etc Divisoria.

What I Love~
The yummy smell and smooth glide of the lotion, not sticky!

What I don't!
The oh-so-fake one step whiter effect. The whiter effect seems to be only effective with skin on the darker side. For the fair skinned girls like me uh-this will only make your skin look shiny.

Will I buy again?
I dont think so. The ingredients doesn't even contain any super whitening agent so I dont think even if I use this forever I'll get any fairer than I am now. Updated (04/13/13): I do buy Moist Lotion refills now and I stopped buying leg foundations, I use Moist Lotion instead. It looks great on photos! :)

But I recommended this to: Girls who are tired of waiting or have no patience in waiting for the result of their whitening lotions, cream or soaps.

Im currently: Wearing a shower cap while typing. My very first shower cap I availed from Watsons. Kekeke (This blog post is back posted. Gotta make up for my missed months ne? ^^)
