Review: Eskinol Spot-less White Facial Deep Cleanser

I am dead serious on changing my skin care routine. Right now I am more into affordable but quality products. There are a lot of things that needs more of my wallet's attention and my mom loves me now for spending less on beauty products.

"Using soap is not enough." Their tag line echoes in my ears and it's a gentle reminder for girls to never be contented with just washing. I never realized the importance of this until I changed my skin care routine. I tend to laze around in doing this important step and I regret that I did!

Eskinol Spot-less White Facial Deep Cleanser With Pure Calamansi Extracts
Promises:
Removes deep seated dirt, excess oil, and makeup with micro-cleanse anti-bacterial formula
With pure Calamansi extracts known to whiten skin
With vitamin C derivatives to help lighten dark spots in as early as 1 week for an even skin tone

Ingredients: Water, Alcohol Denat., Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Perfume, Citrus Microcarpa (Calamansi) Extract, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Menthol, CI 47005

Instructions for use: Moisten a piece of cotton and apply on face and neck. Repeat until no trace of dirt is seen on the cotton. Use anytime and anywhere to get truly clean skin.

My review:

I have been loving calamansi more and more this days so getting Eskinol Spot-less White variant is no surprise. I have been eager to try this after I emptied my Dickinson's toner. I bought this 2 weeks ago and I am loving it.I use this every after I wash my face and it does the job! I can't comment if it does whiten though nor lighten dark spots but based on my past experience with Eskinol papaya variant it didn't work. I'd see still have to see if this is any different.

In case you are wondering I already tried two variants: papaya and ice pore minimizing. Both cleans well but failed on their extra promise, the whitening and the pore minimizing part. Lol.

This is not the most gentle cleanser you can imagine (there is Dickinson's toner for that) but this helps a lot in ensuring you have a clean face before putting make-up or before going to sleep. I have noticed that my break outs have lessened. I still get pimples on my forehead but that's about it and I stay up so late so there is a reason for it. *typing this at 3AM in the morning eh?~ I am thrilled to use the product more. Yay~

How much? Roughly P38 for 75ml bottle. But there are bigger bottles all priced under hundred bucks!

Where to buy? Watsons or Mercury Drug stores well just about anywhere really! The product is truly accessible.

What I like:
  • It smells so fresh, I really don't mind the alcohol content.
  • Small bottle only lasts for a month or so. Doesn't really matter though because it's so affordable.
  • Dried my skin a bit, but that gave me a reason to moisturize!
  • Leaves my skin squeaky clean. Awesome~
  • I believe in the power of calamansi and it's pure extract can be my skin's best friend!
  • Eskinol is a local brand! :)

What I don't:
  • None!

I think the brand itself won't be staying long in the market if it's not patronized by the market. This product is a no brainer really. It does the job for it's price. I am planning to try the other variants after this but that will only happen if I don't purchase the bigger bottle of Eskinol's Spot-less White variant. *wink*

***

And to end this post, the newest song from Girl's Day: Please tell me! I can relate with the meaning! LOL. It's about a guy and girl both waiting for a confession from each other. Haha. The song is fun and so does the dance. Their every performance is full of aegyo, gaah for pulling off this easily right after the sexy of their past 2 songs. Okay enough fan girling, meh?~ Girl's Day feels. <3

PS: Yay no photos,(I forgot). Will take photos later.

Review: Lioele Blooming Pop Pinky Tint

I really like the lips sported by Korean actresses. I rarely see bold colors and lippies, it's more of tints and natural looking lips in pink or peach. It happens that I really like tints a lot and I always swatch any tint on make-up counters to see if they are good. Most of tints available in the malls are liquid and gel and they are either in red, red orange or reddish pink. I love the fact that they are mostly 2-in-1 products because it doesn't just saves time but saves space in my kikay kit as well. I won't say that it saves money because I know it won't. I still buy make-ups despite having numerous items already irregardless if they are 2-in-1 or not. Yes I am a make-up addict and a slight impulse buyer. Tell me that I am not alone!~ *lol*

Okay so I just grabbed myself a milky tint. Milky tints are so raved years ago until now. I am curious to death on how it fares so I've gotten my own bottle, my first milky tint is from Lioele.

 Product Description:

A stain that plants a kiss of see-through tint on cheeks and lips.Soft and moisture absorbing milk lotion with stickiness.Hours of smudge-proof and water-proof.

It comes in 3 variants: Orange tintpinky tint and cherry tint.

I only use Lioele Blooming Pop Pinky Tint on my lips. Color is too sheer for my cheeks and besides, the moisturizing property by this tint is not appropriate for cheeks IMO. On my lips I can layer on the product to build up the color intensity. The shade deepens after a few seconds though, which is quite interesting. Don't be fooled by the fluorescent pink shade in the bottle because it applies as sheer or pink depends on how you use it.
The smell is like cherries, it comes off a bit strong but goes away quickly after application. Color somehow stains even after a bit of eating snacks, not heavy meals. Though personally I like wiping the thing off because I feel like it looks uneven, but that's just me. :)

What I love:
  • Cute packaging like a nail polish (just like my Bench tint here minus the handle)
  • Color is more like neon/fluorescent pink
  • Smells like cherries
  • Has no weird taste
  • Creamy texture
  • Color is light pink when freshly applied but changes into a deeper shade of pink after a minute
  • Color is buildable.
  • Perfect base for gradient lips effect!
  • Lasts long, there is color still visible even after drinking and eating.

What I don't:
  • It leaves a bit of tingling sensation right after application
  • I won't know how much product is left
  • Leaves lips feeling moisturized but may still highlight dry patches
  • Light feeling on lips like you didn't put anything
  • Leaves a white film on lips after an hour or so (have you experienced this?)
Reason why quoted from a Thriftyfun question:
It's not the lip product, it's dried saliva. You would otherwise lick your lips often enough to keep it collected. Just tiptoe to the ladies' room, tissue off the lip gloss, wash with moistened tissues, and reapply, then step out looking dewy and lovely again. I'm a dental hygienist, and believe it or not, this is a common question.

How much?
P495/ 8g.

This product is perfect for light make-up look. I am looking forward to using more of milky tints of different color and brand next time. How about you lovelies, any tint favorites?

Girl's Day finally lands their spot on #1 in Inkigayo!

Don't Forget Me is one of my favorite songs even up to now. Girl's Day has seriously improved on vocals, song quality ever since. They are working hard and never received anything in return until now!

In a cancelled music episode of Inkigayo, Girl's Day has finally won Number 1! Yes you read that right. I am one proud eonnie of Minah. I never saw this something, I honestly had high hopes on Expectation but since it didn't land on number one I kinda expected that they'll move on for the next comeback. But it was so soooon! Like they say strike when the iron is hot! This follow up song: 'Female President' is a hot comeback. Although they just released Expectation not along ago they didn't had a hard time pulling off a cheerful image in contrast to their earlier emotional concept.

I know that this is just the start of Girl's Day's success, haters will just have a hard time accepting the fact that Girl's Day is indeed rising up. Haha :)

Allkpop is quite late in delivering the news. But all hail Girl's Day Daily, read more about Girl's Day first win here> Click me

So timely because it's nearing Girl's Day's 3rd Anniversary!!! <3

Number 1 at last! Congratulations! *clap clap*
You made us DAI5IES proud! :)

Review: Gluta-C Intense Whitening Face and Body soap

So this is the continuation of my product review from my Sampleroom loot. Oh why did it took so long? Well I'm not so excited to review this particular product sadly.
For photos look HERE.
Silly me, forgot to take photos. Yeah so basically all I can show you is the soap box. Ssh~ but this available in Watsons hihi so...(okay lame excuse).

Gluta-C Intense Whitening Face and Body soap says:

Directions: Use as a regular face and body soap. Lather into wet skin and then rinse. For faster results, use in conjuction with other Gluta-C Intense Whitening products. Skincare has never been this easy!

The Look
It is just a simple white bar inside a simple white and orange box.
The Scent:
It has a refreshing citrus scent perfect for the humid weather!

The Experience:
I mark the start of my usage after I came from my summer escapade which didn't took  long. I was still left with tan lines. This soap helped a lot in getting my skin back into into it's color before. I can't completely recommend this for whitening though. This is just another soap which is too gentle to be a whitening soap IMO. I only used this as a body soap, I figured out that I do not want to use scented products on my face at the moment.

The Price:
Full size: 135g/ 60g
Price: PHP 104.75/ PHP 59.75

What I love:
  • It has a citrus scent (my favorite!) which lingers even after bath
  • Really cleanses skin
  • Does not melt easily

What I don't:
  • Not a real intense whitening soap because it is too mild
  • Not meant for whitening
  • Does not moisturize but doesn't dry my skin either

Will I repurchase?
No. I am into whitening my skin right now and Gluta-C Intense Whitening Face and Body soap just won't cut it. Maybe this will do if I need to rest on the usage of whitening soaps.

Overall~

I still have a long list of soap brands I want to try. Yay I just can't have enough of beauty soaps. Yay~ Lovin' being a blogger because I can share thoughts with other people. ^_^

Review: Celeteque DermoScience Hydration Facial wash

I am a dare devil when it comes to beauty products. My mom is afraid of jumping from one product brand to other but bleh~ I need to find my perfect match. Kyaa~ For today I'll review a facial wash I use, it's available nationwide and its from a trustworthy name- Celeteque.

I always had dry flaky skin whenever I use bleaching cream for spot treatment. It helps dry out pimples but so does my skin! I have decided to buy something that can cure that dryness when I dropped by Mercury Drug (not Watsons this time!) I originally intend to buy Physiogel Cleanser but hey! I can only afford the sachet ones. Err~ That is why I shifted to something I can afford (talk about being a poor student, boohoo~)

I took a quick round in the shelves and found Celeteque. My tita uses the scrub counterpart of the Hydration Line and it's good. What harm can Celeteque do? This is a full size bottle and it's really affordable! Jackpot!

Celeteque says:
CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Facial Wash has Natural Moisturizing Factor(NMF) that helps restore the skin’s proper moisture balance. It also has mild cleansing agents that effectively clean without drying the skin.

It's dermatologist tested
non-comedogenic
hypoallergenic
fragnance-free

What's inside?
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Lactate, Panthenol, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Lactic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Chamomilla recutita (Chamomile) Extract, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Masking Agent, Bisabolol, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, CI 19140, CI 16035

  • Apply CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Facial Wash on wet skin. Massage in a gentle circular motion. Rinse thoroughly. Use as often as needed.
  • Use CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Exfoliating Facial Wash every other day to revitalize tired-looking skin.
MY REVIEW~
The consistency of Celeteque is liquid, it doesn't really lather up but it still cleanses well. I use this after my make-up remover and it leaves my skin moisturized and clean. I still use toner in my regimen though.

When I bought this I even asked the cashier if it's normal that the bottle is only 3/4 full. LOL. She said yes, I haven't dropped by in Watsons or Mercury Drug again to check.

What I love?
  •  Does hydrate skin!
  • It really makes my skin clean and supple!
  • True to it's claim -it has no scent! -Products with too much scent is said to be more acnegenic.
  • Didn't broke me out.
  • Affordable! Just imagine if this is an expensive facial wash that you'll need to use everyday you'll be too cautious on how much you'll use.
What I don't?
  • It has no whitening/brightening/pimple fighting properties but nvm I think I'll just find other variant or product for that other purpose. *wink*
How much?
P75.00 (60ml)
P118.00 (100ml)
P270.00 (250ml)

Will I buy again?
Yes I think this is a cost-effective product and it simply does it's job. I am looking forward into using the Hydration line's gentle exfoliating facial wash next.

Me time: It's CN BLUE's Minhyuk's birthday tomorrow and I'll be coming at the screening of Listen to CN BLUE in KCC! Kewl!~ :)
