Review: SILKYGIRL Hi-Definition Brow Liner

I have dyed my hair in Sakura Creamy (actually light brown) a few weeks back, and now I am on the hunt for a good brow liner. Timing is so perfect when Silkygirl sent me SILKYGIRL Hi-Definition Brow Liner.

This brow liner is retractable which means no product waste because there is no need to sharpen it, less chance of breakage.

The product!

Experience 
I got 2 shades: Soft black and Dark brown. I am leaning to dark brown but I sure do hope they release more shades son because I like my brows light colored. I look a bit 'mataray' (bitchy) when I have dark eyebrows.

I am not really an expert when it comes to eye brows because of 2 reasons: Number 1, this is the last part of my face I've touched in terms of makeup, I've kept my eye brow straight for quite some time now - no one can touch my brows! Lol.

Good heavens because there is a lot of youtube videos on how to keep eyebrows nice do-it-yourself. I really like DIY. So yes I've kept my eyebrows straight, and I apply the brow liner with feather like strokes to make it look natural. The angled tip makes filling of my brows easier and the spoolie is really handy.

I applied it at 6:30AM and it was still on my brows at 6PM! Its really long lasting especially you are mostly in the office.

How much and where to buy? 
I got this directly from Silkygirl but they also have stalls in the leading department stores nationwide. Will update this for the price. :)

What I love

TIPS:
Use a light hand when applying the product
Do not drop this liner, retractable liners are prone to breakage

Review: Gluta-C Kojic Plus+ Whitening Face & Body Soap

For today I will review a soap I've been using for a week now, I am intrigued because it is said to have 4X Whitening, sounds amazing.

What is it? 
It has 4X whitening action from Glutathione, Vitamin C, Kojic Acid and Azelaoyl Diglycinate, achieving whitening from 4 different angles and ensuring greater efficacy. Together, Gluta-C KOJIC PLUS+ achieves a more holistic skin whitening regimen.

Packaging
The box color is the iconic orange and white combination. It is simple yet a trade mark of Gluta-C. Orange says all thing citrus to me.

Experience 

So I have been using this soap for more than a week already and the soap is still of the same size. It doesn't lather much but its also doesn't melt easily! As for the scent, I cannot fully describe it because its very lightly scented.

This is a nice soap for sensitive skin. The soap is really gentle and cleanses deep down the skin. I still haven't tried this on my face though. I am used to drying soaps so I am glad that with Gluta-C I have never experienced itchiness or dryness at all. In terms of whitening, I haven't seen big changes yet but there is no micro peeling and my skin looks healthy even without lotion.

To protect the skin I still recommend wearing sunscreen. We are more prone to skin darkening whenever we use whitening products.

I got this for free, but yes.

Overall~ 
Gluta-C Kojic Plus+ Whitening Soap is a nice whitening soap for sensitive skin. Its very gentle compared to other whitening soaps in the market. If you are already fair skin this is a good maintenance soap or a soap to bring back your color after the summer. However if you have naturally dark skin maybe this won't give you drastic changes.

Review: Etude House Lip & Eye Remover

Scary! A product meant to remove your lips and eyes, yikes! So I really wish I had a ton of this stuff. Really, I am more focused with skincare now. The better my skin is, the less makeup I need. And at the end of the day less makeup to remove, I am usually okay with just facial wash but now I can't imagine myself without Etude House Lip & Eye Remover .

What is it? 
Etude House Lip & Eye Remover 
Gentle, yet highly effective, this double formulated lip & eye remover easily and instantly dissolves all traces of make-up for a soothing and moisturizing effect on the sensitive eye & lip area without any irritation.


Alcohol-free, ph balanced remover preserves sensitive areas around the eyes and lips during makeup removal.

Packaging 
The makeup remover is contained in a simple plastic bottle. Plastic bottles are great invention for a clumsy girl like me who have a magnet that makes anything fall off. My mom said when it rained clumsiness maybe I was at the front.

Experience 
Etude House Lip & Eye Remover is my very first makeup remover. I was having a hard time removing mascara and I wanted some help from a skincare product. I remembered Etude House offers affordable makeup remover so I tried it. I find the product best applied using cotton pads.

The product is like light baby oil and it does wipe off face makeup easily- my foundation, bb cream, lippies and non-waterproof eyeliner... but I had a bit of difficulty in removing my mascara. I use the hypercurl mascara by the way, and it takes a while to remove it. However Etude House Lip & Eye Remover still manages to melt it so it'd be removed, its just not so fast as I expected it to.

How much and where to buy?

What I love 

• Gentle
• Doesn't sting
• Easily removes non-waterproof makeup
• Affordable

What I don't 

• Needs to use more product to remove waterproof mascare
• Makes my vision blurry

TIPS 
Be gentle on removing eye makeup, we don't want premature wrinkles, do we?

Will I repurchase? 
I want to try other affordable brands for makeup remover but if they are not as gentle as Etude House then I'd be buying a bottle again

Overall~ 
Etude House Lip & Eye Remover is a good product for its price. Now I just can't live without makeup remover, it just makes life easier and of course your skin clearer! A clean skin is one step forward to clearer skin, I believe.

Review: TONYMOLY Backgel Eyeliner in Black

YAY! so here we go I've been itching to review this baby ever since I've used it. TONYMOLY Backgel Eyeliner is included in my very first Althea box. Love love love that box because its pink!~

I am one of those monolid girls who is used to using eye liners. It doesn't matter if I woke up late or if I need to catch the train, the eyeliner is a must. Eye liner just makes my eye pop. Fuu~ the struggles.

What is it? 
Tonymoly Backgel Eyeliner has 6 shades, black, brown, pearl brown, khaki black, pearl black and choco brown. I got mine in black because I am not used to brown liners no matter how much they say it looks more natural than the latter.  Brown liner makes me look warm.

Packaging 
The packaging of the gel liner is made of plastic. The cap of the liner encloses the liner brush. Hooray for girls like me with no liner brush available. Its smart but a bit bulky. The brush is easily removed from the cap while I lug it around in my kit.




Experience
Tonymoly gel liner is creamy and there was no skin tugging. The color is true black, no glitters or shimmers and dries into matte. It mostly stays decent throughout the day. However I've used this during the summer days but there was product fall outs which darkened my under eye area but its not that 'dark' to be called panda eyes. I understand pretty much that there can be no miracle to make a gel liner stay all day especially with the Philippines' humid weather.

At the end of the day I tend to scratch my eyes because I am naturally sensitive to eye products. I remove this with my favorite facial wash and its easily washed off.

  

How much and where to buy?

What I love 

• Creamy liner which means creating smooth lines will be easy

• Product fall-outs during humid weather
• Not smudge-proof

TIPS 
Don't use when the weather is hot, might melt because its cannot withstand sweat.

Will I repurchase? 
Maybe but I want to try other gel liner brands like Maybelline or Loreal too~

Overall~ 
TONYMOLY Backgel Eyeliner in Black is a fab find, its cheap and it does its job. Thumbs up for this product, this is perfect for girls who would like to try gel liners for the first time. :)

Today I'd be talking about something coralish, something that resembles my old Sophie Martin

I got this lipstick for a while now, but I find it really nice that is why I decided to share it with you.

What is it?
A wearable coral orange color for everyday use.

Peachy colors are great for a little pop of cute, youthful color and go perfectly with fair and warm skin tones. Choose from any of the six shades and be ready to greet the day with a bright smile.

Packaging
Orange plastic tube with nice orangey shade same with the actual product. Mehehe~ Shade name is written at the bottom.

Experience
This shade has been complimented a few times already. The color is quite eye catching. It does stand out among the crowd. On application I don't swipe it on my lips, I just dab dab dab the lipstick until I get my desired color. It lasts at least 2-3 hours with no eating or drinking. I has no scent and no taste which is great if you are like me who don't like scent or taste with lip products.

Its creamy matte but sissie finds it dry for air conditioned environment. I often pair this lip color with peach or orange blusher and I look warm. I try to alternate peach and pink blusher sometimes. I think this color will be perfect no matter if you are fair or tanned.
