Review: ACNECARE Lactoferrin Anti-Acne Complex

Acne is one of the most common skin condition for many. It usually starts during adolescence period and then has a chance to continue until adulthood in which we then call acne breakout. There are a lot of reasons in why we get sudden acne breakout on our face that is why there are also a lot of products intended for the treatment of pimples.

Just like any other kids I have experienced getting acne on my face during my high school years. Maybe its in the genes, maybe its in the makeup that I used, maybe its in what I eat, maybe its due to the pollution, and the maybe's are endless. Amidst the maybes only one thing is for sure, acne ruins one's self confidence. Not everyone are pimply, there are people who are blessed with flawless skin and I must admit that I envy them before. My case is not so bad now and my face only gets acne every now and then.

Moving on, let me introduce you to my younger brother. He is a shy type kind of kid who is often playing his mobile games, watching movies in the tv instead of playing outside or meeting with his friends. With him in the adolescence period he became a lot taller, his voice is deeper and his face got -pimples. I know I blog and I know a lot of products he can try but my mom says he is still young and it might be harsh for his skin. Sometime last year I think, Acnecare sent a package which contains AcneCare soaps and two bottles of AcneCare Lactoferrin Anti-Acne Complex. I don't feel the need to use it yet because my skin is okay, I completely forgot about it until last year November that I've let my brother try it.

ACNECARE Lactoferrin Anti-Acne Complex
Introducing the revolutionary 1st Lactoferrin capsule in the Philippines!

Experience
My brother's face has not just inflamed pimples he also have blackheads. He is really oily especially when he comes back from school and whenever he plays mobile games for too long.

DAY1
Severe pimples and blackheads are still present. I asked him to continuously take at least one capsule per day. He is still a kid after all, as a start instead of two, he takes one.

Week 2-3
I actually took a photo at Day 25, he is very shy in front of the camera. I've swear to hide his eyes at least though. He is less oily nowadays and I seldom see inflamed pimples on his cheeks.

Week 4
The red marks are still there but most of his acne has dried up. He showed me his forehead today and its much more makinis na (more flawless) than the day he started taking the AcneCare capsules. His face has obviously less its bumps than before. I won't lie, he still gets a pimple every now and then but its not as many as before. The picture below will speak for itself, it did worked like wonders.

How much and where to buy?

Got it for free but it retails at P885 per bottle. Its available at Mercury Drugstores, Watsons and SouthStar drugstore

What he likes
  • Easy to swallow capsules
  • No negative reactions
  • Skin was less oily
  • Less blackheads
  • No cystic/inflamed pimples anymore
  • Dried his acne
  • Doesn't contain bad chemicals
  • Better skin as days progresses
  • Works as promised
What he doesn't
  • Nothing mentioned

Will I repurchase? Yes, much possibly will.

Overall~
Most of the time we will only resort to topical ointments to cure breakouts and acne however this skin condition can leave scars which are possible to be permanent. It depends on how shallow or deep the scar is remember that prevention is cure. After I have seen how much difference it made to my brother's face and I am positive that it can possibly work for people with the same case too. Hopefully his face will clear up with continuous take of the capsules. He has finished 2 bottles as of writing this.

For guys and girls who have acne, constant breakout and looking for a solution, I recommend AcneCare.

Have you tried taking acne supplements to get rid of acne breakouts? You may share your story in the comments!~

Review: Acnecare Acne Drying Lotion

Now that I am working, I can't help but breakout due to unknown reasons. Routine has always been the same. I'm asking myself, was it my makeup? Was it the pollution? What should we use to get rid of pimples as well as the acne marks altogether? Luckily there was one product I've been leaning on for a few weeks already. This has been given to me by Vida Nutri Science along with the soap I reviewed here. I was suppose to give this to a friend, the AcneCare Acne Drying Lotion.

AcneCare Acne Drying Lotion
A fast acting effective acne spot solution for all skin types.

Ingredients:
Water,Alcohol, Zinc Oxide, Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide, Polysorbate, 801sulfur, Salicylic Acid, Hamamelis Virgianiana leaf extract, Cinnamomum Gamphora Bark Oil, Phenotylphenol Sulfonate, Buteth-3, Tributyl citrate, Capryloyl Glycine/SarcosineJCinnamonium Zeylanicum Bark Exctract, Decylene Glycol

How to use:Dab a cotton swab into pink sediment. Dab on affected area after cleansing of face and let it dry overnight. A fast acting, effective acne spot solution for all skin types. Wash off in the morning.

What is it?
I hope you won't be confused with the word lotion, the solution is liquid or sediment as they call it. The product is pink with alcohol smell, somehow chemical-ish to me. AcneCare Acne Drying Lotion is said to be similar to Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.
I am only familiar with the salicylic acid, alochol. The other ingredients on the list is brand new to me.

Packaging
The liquid product is in a glass type small bottle with the same size as my small table cat. It contains 55ml of product. The cap is plastic though and I am not sure when but maybe someone at home dropped it because when I checked the plastic cap its already broken. (glad the bottle is safe)

Experience
So I use a cotton swab to get the product at the bottom. I find that there is some product separation on the Acnecare Acne Drying Lotion (the alcohol and pink sediment) but its okay. I find that there is NO NEED TO MIX them together. I simply dip my cotton swab to the bottom of the bottle to get the pink sediment. Its more concentrated compared when the alcohol and pink sediment is together (hope I'm making sense here, teehee)

On one application there was no sting sensation on the acne compared to when I use acne gels loaded with tea tree oil and alcohol. The next day the acne is not so inflamed anymore .After 2-3 days of usage the spot treated with the Acnecare Acne Drying Lotion is already peeling, once it peeled it left no dark marks!

With photo reference above. I had a recent breakout on the chin. With just one application, its less redness the next day.

How much and where to buy?
Product is sponsored by Vida Nutriscience. But this is sold at P199 for one bottle.

What I love
  • It doesn't sting
  • Effective anti acne product
  • Less inflamed acne/less redness in just one night
What I don't
  • Its in a fragile packaging :(
TIPS:
Do not shake! Place the bottle on a table or something and let the layers separate. You will only need the concentrated pink sediment.
Will I repurchase?
I have other anti-acne prods to try so maybe next time.

Overall~
Wonderful product for getting rid of acne. Acnecare Acne Drying Lotion is a must try for a no sting drama on getting rid of breakouts. The Acnecare soap and the acne drying lotion is a perfect combo. Still yet to try the acne

Review: AcneCare soap with Bio Sulfur, Tea Tree oil and ACE B3

Rest day weekend! Have you ever felt the need for a day in between Saturday and Sunday? How come weekend ends so fast yet weekday takes so long to be over? Another weekend fever coming right up! Hahaha~

For today I would be posting my review of AcneCare Soap with Bio Sulfur, Tea Tree oil and ACE B3. This product is included in the AcneCare gift set of Vida Nutriscience. I have been wanting to post this earlier this week but I can't find the time. Okay so first things first aha aha (lol) read on~

ACNECARE
AcneCare - Clinically Proven 44% less Acne in 2 weeks
Fights off Acne ,Red spots and other Skin Blemishes.Naturally !
AcneCare can reach cells where creams and lotions can't.
3 Anti-Acne Complex Lactoferrin, Linumlife and Zinc.

What is it?
AcneCare soap from the name itself is an anti-acne soap.  It combines Bio Sulfur, Tea tree oil and Ace B-3 in one soap.
I can't find much details regarding bio sulfur but sulfur soaps itself has antiseptic, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. Next- Tea tree oil is widely used already as an anti-acne product by many (I'm a big fan of tea tree gels). Lastly, Ace B-3 stands for Aloe vera extract, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Nacinamide B3. More details explained in the back of the box, thank you!

Packaging
The box opens like the Snow Skin Whitening soap! (well same company) I remember the Dr. Kauffman Sulfur from the yellow black combination. It has the information regarding the soap, which is really helpful imo.

Experience
So I have been using AcneCare soap for about 3 weeks now. I use this every time I wash my face. It was not a bubbly soap, it was rather creamy. At the first few days it doesn't sting. Until I realized that I needed to leave it for at least 2-3 minutes before I rinse it off! (always read instructions!) BLEH~ So I did just as that and after a few days there was a lil purging. I few pimps here and there but its nothing major.

I noticed that unlike other soaps it was not drying and it doesn't really sting. I have used kojic and sulfur soaps before and it really stings like hell especially if you used astringents with it. One thing I learned with trying products is that to use one product at a time because certain prods react badly with other products.

I was breaking out badly when this AcneCare soap came there was some difference. Big acne gone. Only redness left. It doesn't leave me with squeaky dry skin and it doesn't make my skin micro peel. I also used this for my back and redness gradually lessens.

Nope. Gotta find another way to tighten pores.

No big zits for a while now ever since I've used this soap. I also noticed that my face is not oily anymore and I get less blackheads and whiteheads.

How much and where to buy?
AcneCare soap is sold at Php149 per piece at 135grams. Its available in Mercury Drugstores, Watsons and SouthStar drugstore. You can actually buy from them directly if you can't find their products in your area.

What I love

  • Not so drying compared to other anti-acne soaps
  • Lathers like cream
  • No more oily face
  • Less nasty blackheads and whiteheads
  • Lesser zits especially on red days
  • Doesn't dry up my skin- no micropeeling

What I don't
  • Nothing I can mention

TIPS:
Avoid using harsh products while using this soap to avoid allergic or bad skin reactions

Will I repurchase?
Yes.

Overall~
This is a good anti-acne soap that is not too harsh for me. I like how it works slowly but the effect is gradual. Worth the try if you suffer from bad breakout.

Thank you Vida Nutriscience!
