Review: Celeteque DermoScience Hydration Facial wash

I am a dare devil when it comes to beauty products. My mom is afraid of jumping from one product brand to other but bleh~ I need to find my perfect match. Kyaa~ For today I'll review a facial wash I use, it's available nationwide and its from a trustworthy name- Celeteque.

I always had dry flaky skin whenever I use bleaching cream for spot treatment. It helps dry out pimples but so does my skin! I have decided to buy something that can cure that dryness when I dropped by Mercury Drug (not Watsons this time!) I originally intend to buy Physiogel Cleanser but hey! I can only afford the sachet ones. Err~ That is why I shifted to something I can afford (talk about being a poor student, boohoo~)

I took a quick round in the shelves and found Celeteque. My tita uses the scrub counterpart of the Hydration Line and it's good. What harm can Celeteque do? This is a full size bottle and it's really affordable! Jackpot!

Celeteque says:
CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Facial Wash has Natural Moisturizing Factor(NMF) that helps restore the skin’s proper moisture balance. It also has mild cleansing agents that effectively clean without drying the skin.

It's dermatologist tested
non-comedogenic
hypoallergenic
fragnance-free

What's inside?
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Lactate, Panthenol, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Lactic Acid, Disodium EDTA, Chamomilla recutita (Chamomile) Extract, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Masking Agent, Bisabolol, Butylated Hydroxytoluene, CI 19140, CI 16035

  • Apply CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Facial Wash on wet skin. Massage in a gentle circular motion. Rinse thoroughly. Use as often as needed.
  • Use CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Exfoliating Facial Wash every other day to revitalize tired-looking skin.
MY REVIEW~
The consistency of Celeteque is liquid, it doesn't really lather up but it still cleanses well. I use this after my make-up remover and it leaves my skin moisturized and clean. I still use toner in my regimen though.

When I bought this I even asked the cashier if it's normal that the bottle is only 3/4 full. LOL. She said yes, I haven't dropped by in Watsons or Mercury Drug again to check.

What I love?
  •  Does hydrate skin!
  • It really makes my skin clean and supple!
  • True to it's claim -it has no scent! -Products with too much scent is said to be more acnegenic.
  • Didn't broke me out.
  • Affordable! Just imagine if this is an expensive facial wash that you'll need to use everyday you'll be too cautious on how much you'll use.
What I don't?
  • It has no whitening/brightening/pimple fighting properties but nvm I think I'll just find other variant or product for that other purpose. *wink*
How much?
P75.00 (60ml)
P118.00 (100ml)
P270.00 (250ml)

Will I buy again?
Yes I think this is a cost-effective product and it simply does it's job. I am looking forward into using the Hydration line's gentle exfoliating facial wash next.

Me time: It's CN BLUE's Minhyuk's birthday tomorrow and I'll be coming at the screening of Listen to CN BLUE in KCC! Kewl!~ :)

Review: Eshiko Silica Face Powder

Some product photos and description are from Eshiko.

Smaller pores, smooth & glowing skin in just one application!
ESHIKO™ is a transparent hydrated silica face powder reduced to a size of 10 nanometer, the size of a single particle of smoke.
Due to its size, it easily glides to the skin leaving a layer of protective light absorbing nanospheres that makes the pores smaller and gives a smooth and radiant look in an instant. It is also translucent which means it does not make your skin pale white even after excessive application.
ESHIKO™ absorbs oil and sweat 15 times its own weight. It's perfect for people who want to have the perfect skin complexion.

Pardon for not taking pictures when my Eshiko is still brand new. But here are really good shots from: Pinay Beauty Guide

The  claim about divine poreless skin upon application made me buy Eshiko. Also, there are tons of positive reviews online! ...and who wouldn't be curious after seeing this photos? I was like "Oh it's magical!"

 eshiko powder

All the hype always drives me crazy especially when it is something about pore minimizing! OMO~

Packaging:
At first look Eshiko looks like a simple tub of powder, who would imagine that it costs a lot? It has a protective tape inside to avoid product spillage however there are still powder particles in my package when it arrived, which means that despite the tapes still didn't secure the product inside. I just used a cotton pad to stop the powder from spilling especially when I bring the tub along in my kit.
Packaging is sturdy but after a few weeks the 'Eshiko' brand name on top of my powder's lid faded.

The Product:
The white silica powder is finely milled I must believe that this is indeed the same size of a smoke particle. It is 10 grams per tub and looks like a decent finishing powder.

First time to post a side by side photo!~ The side with Eshiko looked brighter right? But see how it highlighted dry patches. Can you see how it softens the look of the pores?

Coverage:
I am mostly into glowing look nowadays this product makes me look matte but not flat. My face doesn't stay matte for long, I get oily after about 3 hours and I need to blot or at least reapply the product. IMO it does not look better with the presence of moisture and oil unlike mineral powders.
It can give a slight glowing and flawless look but it just won't do justice on pimple marks especially on red acnes. How about on pores? It does soften, yes it is the right word for the effect it does on pores. It doesn't blur nor minimize but it softens the look of the pores making it less visible or attention grabbing, I should say.
It can also actually help in making us look great on photos but it doesn't look as awesome in real life.

Application:
I don't know what to expect on a HD powder. It quite rough for my skin upon application, nothing to be surprised about because the product is silica however I am not comfortable using it. I already turned my back on Ellana's White Chocolate powder primer which is also made of silica.
I use either of my my kabuki brush and sponge for applying products. It depends on what I've grabbed that day, lol. I'm not choosy on those kind of stuff. A little actually goes a long way with Eshiko.

How much?
Good thing I still have my email history, I was able to recall that I paid P499 for one pot from Metrodeal: Get Beautiful Skin with Eshiko and Feel Young and Rejuvenated Again for P499 instead of P1350 - Save 50%
Eshiko does handle shipping, if you bought from a deal site supported by them you can email them so you can ask for their bank details: support@eshiko.com
They've only used Xend for shipping and I am in Manila but shipping fee was P160.

What I like:
  • It softens the look of pores
  • Good finishing powder for bb creams
  • Photogenic finish!
What I don't:
  • I can't use it alone when I am not in my good-skin days.
  • Good effect doesn't last long.
  • Too expensive for a finishing powder

Will I buy again?
No. I like Eshiko but I don't I'll need another one anytime soon. I think I can still find an affordable version of this powder in the market. The results it gave me is not as outstanding as it claims. Price is quite over my budget.

Overall
A nice finishing powder but not-so-worth the price. I still have a lot of powders, cheaper ones that I like better than Eshiko, take Palgantong powder as an example. I can still recommend this if you have the budget, the good skin and if you are looking for a finishing powder bound to brighten up your skin.

eshiko silica face powder
No make-up look with bb cream, Eshiko, eye liner and peachy lippie!

Hope you like my review about Eshiko. Have I typed in too much today? Guess I have a lot of things to say. Anyway what is your favorite face powder dearies? Share in the comments below and I'll see you in my next post! :)

Hi chingus! I've read updates that GFC is a service to be discontinued by Google however I was unsure when it will happen until today! Blue Moon 2013: CN Blue will turn Manila into blue!

CN BLUE has arrived in Manila this afternoon, they are scheduled for a public press conference in SM Megamall from 2-5pm. Me and my little sister rushed to get trough the traffic and we arrived just in time, almost exactly at 2pm. LOL, okay so I know a fan girl should always come hours earlier before the idol. But we needed to plead for my mom's yes before we can go to SM Mega.

As we imagined and as the facebook updates from Boicesph says, the whole activity area is jam-packed! Not that I am not aware of CN BLUE's popularity, but the crowd was real huge! One of the wildest fandom gathering I've been into!

I'll be honest that I am not a hardcore fan of CN Blue. I am more into dancing idols, but I appreciate the music that CN Blue creates. It is something refreshing, makes my heart pound kind of music. Oh yeah love songs~ I do like bands: FT Island, AOA and Led Apple but CN Blue rocks in my number one spot!

CN Blue was fashionably late? I must say, maybe it was because of the traffic, or the crowd but they came in around 3pm. There are guards and other peeps trolling us already, I can't count how many times I on and off my camera because I thought that they already arrived. If you go to SM Mega you'll know that there is just one entrance in the back, yes we were right there eagerly waiting for them.

Yonghwa rushed to the stage, Jungshin walked like a diva, a model -chin up!, Minhyuk waved and smiled while slowly walking (...oooh  I so so love you baby boy!), Jonghyun looked uneasy on the other hand I think he is not used to overly excited Pinoy fans! Kyaaa~ but the cheers was really loud. Ate Kring and Ms. Jinri Park were constant in saying 'Keep calm or they will leave for security purposes'.

CN Blue didn't performed or anything, it was a press con after all but it was a good chance for me to take more decent shots and videos. Teehee~ I love fangirling.

I dunno if the press con was cut short but it only took around one hour and they left. Fans waited in the same entrance/exit but they were gone. *Poof* like magic. Haha. I'm clueless when or how they got out of SM Mega but seeing them is already enough for me.

They will have their Blue Moon: 2013 CNBLUE World tour in Manila (June 15) later at 8pm in Araneta Coliseum.

*Will update with spazz photos after I upload them! kyaaa~*

Review: Nu Skin Scion Whitening Deodorant

Do you still remember your first deodorant? I honestly can't recall which one between Rexona and Secret. My mom says I should stick with just one brand of deodorant to avoid dark underarms, I think so too but that is after I find a product or brand I can trust.

The last brand I have used so far is from Nu Skin. Have you ever heard of the brand Nu Skin? They are the company who offers Scion Whitening Deodorant which promises whitening result after 3 weeks.

Description:
An underarm whitening roll-on deodorant and anti-perspirant that provides 24-hour protection against bacterial growth and perspiration which can cause body odor. Whitening results can be seen in just 3 weeks! Alcohol-free makes it mild and non-irritating. It comes in two variants. 24-Hour Protection to keep you fresh all day, perfect for the active lifestyle and pH-Balanced, especially formulated for women.

Product Claims:
Aids in preventing discoloration of the under-arm area
All-day Antiperspirant protection
Glides on easily
Alcohol-free formula is gentle and non-irritating

Nu Skin Scion Whitening Deodorant is available in two different labels:
Baby blue - more focus against odor and wetness. (also good for Men)
Flesh - pH balanced especially for Woman also best for those who have chicken skin.

Obviously I chose Flesh. Scion Deodorant has a roll-on type packaging like majority of the deodorants in the market today. As for the scent, I can't describe it exactly, it's fresh but not something special or worth noting for. It keeps my underarm dry the whole day.
Key Ingredients:
Triclosan – helps kill odor and infection causing germs
Lactic Acid – pH acidulent
Vitamini E – renowned for its moisturizing and antioxidant properties

Demineralized Water, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, Isopropyl Myristate, Cyclomethicone, Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lactic Acid, Licorice Extract, Bearberry Extract, Methylparaben, Triclosan, Allantoin, Propylparaben
It has parabens, I know that a lot of girls take this into consideration.
I have used this product for about 2 and a half months and I am afraid there is no visible changes. I don't have dark underarms but I want to notice any slight whitening effect which is the main reason why I bought the product in the first place.

PROS
  • It keeps me feeling fresh all day

CONS
  • Doesn't whiten
  • Product not readily available
  • Quite expensive for a deodorant

Where to buy?
Nu Skin sellers or online sellers in sulit and facebook

How much?
Around P250 for 75ml (can't remember the exact price, sorry)1

Overall:
It does it's job as a deodorant but it's a thumbs down in terms of whitening. It didn't keep up into it's promise to whiten as early as 3 weeks which is kinda sad. I know a lot of drugstore brands who offers the same promise of whitening in as little as 2 weeks but without the heavy price tag.
Will I buy again?
It is good as a deodorant but it's not a smart buy. I won't buy again.
I am thinking of trying out mineral deodorants which is said to be safer than other deodorants in the market today. How about you lovelies, what brand are you using right now?

Thank you for dropping by my blog! See you in my next post! CN Blue is coooomiiiiiiiiiiing!~
