Review: J.TOMAS Hair Solutions' NO-TANGLE Leave in Hair Mist

TGIF!!! Hi pretty ladies our review for today is about my new hair buddy. Right now I am still a blonde head and its really hard to comb my hair during the mornings. Washing my hair and drying it can be a pain especially every mornings. To make sure that my hair will not be a pile of mess later I use: J.TOMAS Hair Solutions' NO-TANGLE Leave in Hair Mist.

CREDITS: Jtomas

What is it?
J.TOMAS Hair Solutions' NO-TANGLE Leave in Hair Mist is a weightless, pre-styling instant conditioner that detangles hair without greasiness.

Packaging
Sturdy plastic packaging

Experience
I have naturally unruly dry hair, I only use big tooth comb to take care of my tresses. Ever since I've bleached my hair I know my mornings won't be the same again. I needed the help of conditioner and leave on to make my hair manageable. The last time I've used J.TOMAS Hair Solutions' NO-TANGLE Leave in Hair Mist was when I still have brown hair. I was wondering how it will fare on bleached hair?

First thing, the scent is fresh and light. The liquid is grayish and the atomizer works really well. A few sprays on my hair makes it real easy to comb out. My hair is usually like rubber like when damp, however it is not the case with J.Tomas Hair Mist, although it doesn't give moisture it makes it real manageable. Its light and non sticky on my hair like I did not put on anything. It only works as it promised. It didn't weigh hair down but made it frizz free. If you have dry hair though you may still need to apply hair shine or something to make your hair look nice with sheen.

How much and where to buy?
Php 165 for a 100 ml bottle. It only comes in one size and it only lasted for a month with everyday use. I bought this at Watsons.

What I love
  • Spray function works well
  • Makes my hair manageable
  • Light and non-sticky
  • Affordable
  • Accessible product
What I don't
  • Nothing I can mention
TIPS
Slightly damp hair is best time to use this hair mist, just spray it on and style as usual.

 Will I repurchase?
Yes! This is my 2nd bottle already

Overall~
I recommend J.TOMAS Hair Solutions' NO-TANGLE Leave in Hair Mist for girls with unruly hair who doesn't want frizz on their every morning. Its affordable and simply works as promised.

What is your favorite hair leave on or hair mist? Share it with me on the comments! : )

5 Hair Dyes to Get Shade of Pink

Hi beauties! What is your favorite color? Well mine is pink, this blog makes it too obvious, lol. Have you ever thought of having your hair tinted with your favorite color? Well I do. But most of the vibrant pink dyes are only available out of the country. In Manila I found out that there are hair dye brands which released shades of are brown with a hint of pink. A good option if you prefer a safe colors especially in Manila wherein striking colors are not a trend. Work and school won't allow too much pinks anyway, hehe. I think these hair dyes are great if you only like a shade of pink in your tresses. I haven't tried any of them yet, but I want to give a heads up that there are brands that offer exciting colors than the normal brown and blonde shades.

LEVEL 1: Liese Creamy Bubble Color in Rose Tea
This shade is more like purplish rather than pink. I think this will suit you if you like a sheen of purple pink shade in your hair.

LEVEL 2: Schwarzkopf Champagne Pink
It looks orangey pink shade. The reviews for this brand is quite limited.

LEVEL 3: Lolane Z-Cool Color with Hokkaido Milk Extract in Sakura Yogurt
This is new from Lolane, I've tried Lolane but not the Z-Cool variety of hair dye. They have various options from greenish ash blonde to pinks!

If you are thinking of dyeing your hair with a hint of pink, why not try one them? Anyone who used any of the brands yet?

Review: QUICKFX No-Shine Mattifier

Its been a while since I've last used a primer. A good friend (Hi Alyssa!) recommended me to try QUICKFX No-Shine Mattifier as my makeup primer. I was supposed to buy this before I went to Japan but the Watsons branches I visited were out of stock! I was wondering, how good could this be? One thing to find out, to try it out myself!

And so I searched high and low and I was lucky to stumble QUICKFX in Watsons Farmers Cubao. Kyaa, finally.

What is it?
QUICKFX says:
Absorbs oil to control shine for a smooth, matte finish, conceals fine lines and pores for visibly radiant skin instantly.
Actives: Salicylic Acid, Chamomile, Tea Tree Extract and Mattewax

A light moisturizer that helps hide imperfections such as fine lines and pores while proividing an exception smooth matte finish. Also helps prevene and treat pimples without drying out skin.

Looking further into the ingredients is contains paraben. Its said to be made in Korea.

Packaging
Just by looking the package is pretty simple and straightforward sachet with a handy resealable cap. The packaging slightly changed actually because before Quickfx doesn't have a cap, its just plain foil which you have to tear. Its quite messy and unhygienic IMO, glad they came up with this new packaging.

Experience
I have tried QUICKFX eyelift cream and Pimple eraser before as well and I know their products are pretty good however its my first time to try QUICKFX No-Shine Mattifier which is said to be a moisturizer. Hmm... so technically its a moisturizer, pimple cream and primer in one. That is 3 good effects with just one product. Too good to be true? Let's see.

The  dispenses just the right amount of product each and every time. The cream is velvety, not sticky and spreads easily on the skin. Its a colorless cream with no scent.I only need a little amount to cover up my whole face. It covers big pores well but not to the point that it wont be visible at all. It just makes it look smaller because the cream fills up the pores. Got it? Hope I am making sense here. Hehe.

I still do my skincare routine before primer and before doing my makeup. However QUICKFX says its also okay to use the No-Shine Mattifier on top of the makeup, which I also tried. Using it on top of my makeup makes my pores less visible than the first application. It doesn't highlight dry patches, but I am not sure if it does moisturizes my skin though because I still use moisturizer underneath.

I've worn the primer all day with my usual makeup look. With my heavy bb cream in place which almost always oils up in the mid day I ended up with a not so oily face in the evening! I only perspired and all, but my makeup is still there and there is no oil galore end of the day look. I am impressed.

How much and where to buy?
P99 for 10g sachet product. I found it at Watsons Farmers, but should also be available in the other branches if its not out of stock.

What I love
  • Doesn't make me oil up
  • Mattes face
  • Primes face for makeup
  • Blurs pores by making it look smaller
  • Not sticky
  • Spreads easily on the skin
  • Makes my makeup long lasting
  • No scent
  • Travel friendly because its in a sachet form
  • Did not broke me out
  • Economic because a little goes a long way
  • No heavy sticky feeling
  • Light on the skin
  • Most affordable primer I've used so far
What I don't
  • Always out of stock

TIPS
Bring this prod with you, you can reapply if you like to stay matte without using powder

Will I repurchase?
YES.

Overall~
So far so good. It works as a primer, blurs pores and it doesn't break me out. For the price, I can't complain. I recommend this to girls oily and dry alike who are sensitive with pore clogging primers. This is also perfect under bb cream, kudos to Quickfx for this cheap but effective product.

Review: Loreal Paris Micellar Water 3 in 1 in Moisturizing

My skin is not as good as it usually is these days. Thus resulted into piling more makeup than usual. I find it harder to remove all traces of makeup with my current skincare regimen. Here comes micellar water. I first read about it from beautymnl, there are several brands that released their own versions. So when I found out about a new type of makeup remover, I immediately thought of trying it out. Maybelline, Biore and Loreal released their own micellar water, however the brand I've seen available in Watsons is Loreal Paris Micellar Water. Loreal Paris is currently available in 2 variants: moisturizing (pink variant) and refreshing (blue variant). I got Loreal Paris Micellar Water 3 in 1 in Moisturizing because I have pretty combination skin but more of dry nowadays.

What is Micellar Water?
Breakthrough micellar molecules captures makeup and impurities like a magnet!

Loreal says: Unique micellar molecules act like a magnet to remove makeup residue and impurities from skin thoroughly. 3-in-1 actions: Cleanse, Remove Makeup, Soothe. Watery texture, skin is left clean, pure and hydrated.

How to use:
1.) SOAK - Saturate a cotton pad
2.) PRESS - Press pad activating the magic micelles to remove make up impurities
3.) PROOF - wipe face and see proof on pad! Quick, easy, just swipe - your everyday cleanser

Packaging
The rectangular bottle is unique but might be quite bulky due to its shape. The cap is easy to open, not to mention that I really like the hot pink color of course. But be careful on dispensing the liquid because you might apply too much. Because its heavy, it might be hard to control the amount of product you get with each use, so be extra, extra careful.

TADAH! See its an easy open bottle.

A closer look at the back of this big bottle!~

Ingredients: Aqua/water, hexylene glycol, glycerin, rosa gallica flower extract, sorbitol, poloxamer 184, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, disodium edta, propylene glycol, bht, polyaminopropyl, biguanide (F.I.L B183438/2)

I did a bit of research on the ingredients, and here is what I found out:

Aqua/water
This is given already, as obvious at it is, the main content is water. :)
Hexylene glycol
A solvent/viscosity agent used to thin our heavy consistency products
Glycerin
May be naturally derived from plant oils but can also be produced synthetically, its used to prevent loss of moisture.
Rosa gallica flower extract
Fragrant extract
Sorbitol
Sorbitol is used as flavoring agent but also prevents moisture loss.
Poloxamer 184
Poloxamers help in forming emulsions, in this case, helps in dissolving dirt! It cleans skin by helping water to rinse away oil and dirt.
Disodium cocoamphodiacetate
Helps water to rinse away dirt and oil.  Its made from fatty acids from coconut oil which may be called coconut acid.
Disodium edta
A preservative used to enhance cleaning capabilities of cosmetics. This ingredient is the key for rinse-off products that inherently require water to come into contact with the skin. In this case, it simply binds in dirt etc when we use the product on our skin.
Propylene glycol
A hyhydrating agent easily absorbed by skin
BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene)
A preservative and antioxidant which helps fight deterioration of cosmetics because of chemical reactions with oxygen
Polyaminopropyl biguanide (F.I.L B183438/2)
Used as synthetic preservative.

Experience
Loreal is my first micellar water brand so I didn't know what to expect. I mean there are already a lot of makeup removers in the market and I've tried several brands also. What can a new makeup remover with a new name do? Well Micellar Water is straightforward, water. Similar to water, it also has no scent. Having no high expectations on my first usage, I proceeded to use it with a cotton ball. The bottle is big and I had a bit of a hard time on getting just the right amount of product on my first attempt. I have cleaned my face on a circular motion. Since my makeup is quite heavy I know I would be using a lot of cotton.

Lots of cotton! Insert gross emoticon here
The solution unbelievably feels like pure water. On my eyes it did not sting my eyes at all, I just let the cotton pressed unto my eyes longer to remove the mascara and eyeliner. No, it was not removed instantly, but I haven't tried any makeup remover that does this job in one go. So I am cool with it.

On my skin, it did not leave an oily feel after use. Circular motion with a few cotton balls did the trick. And did you know Loreal Paris Micellar Water is also offering no rinse formula? Yes, like WTH, really? Okay so I am a bit skeptical with no rinse formulas. Why? I am really prone to acne, breakout, blackheads, whiteheads. Skin problem you say? Name it, I might have it. Lol. Truly, I am scared to try this no rinse feature of micellar water. However gals, for the love of blogging and of course out of curiosity on how it will fare, I have tried this. I even skipped moisturizer just to make sure that whatever reaction I will get will only be from the Loreal Paris Micellar Water itself only. Holy guacamole, I woke up to somehow, smaller looking pores and radiant looking skin. I understand now why its called 3 in 1. It doesn't just cleanse and remove makeup. It really moisturizes the skin as well. It can pass up as toner for me. If you have been double cleansing, I recommend that you try Loreal Micellar Water! Yes, thank me later. Hoho~

I am using this baby for days already and I have a bad breakout prior to discovering this. However every morning its like my face is being healed, not tightness, no dryness. It soothes and clears my skin from dirt and makeup without any rubbing nor rinsing. Its just bare hydrated skin with each use. I can't believe how a really gentle product can do wonders for my skin. Before I was in a doubt, if its water based and too gentle, then maybe it won't work? I am so used to harsh chemicals so this is something new for me. Any skin type can use this product, its very effective and gentle. It simply dissolves the dirt and impurities, it just simply works.

How much and where to buy?
P225 for 250ml bottle

What I love

  • Affordable
  • Economic- will last long even with everyday usage.
  • Available in the malls!
  • Unique bottle shape (although it makes it hard to control product flow)
  • Water like consistency
  • No oily film residue after makeup removal
  • No greasy feel
  • Moisturizing
  • It serves as makeup remover but doubles up as toner
  • No irritation
  • No tight skin feeling
  • Soothes skin, I wake up to better skin each day
  • No rinse formula
  • No rubbing needed to remove waterproof cosmetics
  • Light on the skin
  • Effective
  • Dissolves impurities, not just wiping it off
  • Very gentle
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Perfect for oily and dry skin
  • Hydrated skin after usage
  • No scent

What I don't

  • Nothing I can mention

Will I repurchase?
Yes! I am also eyeing other brands of Micellar Water but Loreal Paris Micellar Water is so far so good!

Overall~
I can sing nothing but praises for Loreal Paris Micellar Water 3 in 1 in Moisturizing. Its hypoallergenic so it can work even on sensitive skin. Oily or dry skin can use this product as well. It can double up as toner as well and will make you forget your moisturizer. Its indeed a 3 in 1 product that lives up to its promise. Perfect for lazy evenings of busy guys and gals. This product is effective yet fits the budget, I say see the effects for yourself. Cheers!

My new kitten, Eew loves Loreal Paris Micellar Water 3 in 1 as well!

Beauty Goodies from my Japan Trip

Hello beauties, Happy Tuesday! Have you seen the 'Super Moon' last night? I was not able to get a good glimpse because of some reason but I saw cool photos in facebook. Boy it was beautiful~ :)

I want to include a short sneak peek on my next reviews. I had a quick beauty shopping in Japan during my last trip. Actually on the way to shopping, when we went to the subway station we asked one girl for directions. She is very kind and she have this pretty pink cheeks I adore. I took courage to ask what brand of blush does she use? Can you guess what brand it is? Read till the last part of this post!

To those who might be curious, the best places to buy these are at Don Quijote and Aeon Shopping Malls. Both offers tax free shopping and lower than ordinary prices. However take note also that there are some items that might only be available in drugstores. Ehem, lezz start!

Biore Facial Foam

I intend to give this to my sister ehem ehem. I am not sure if we have this here in Manila.

San Sophia Whip Premium Cleansing Foam
This product is said to work like Shiseido Perfect Whip, it was on sale so yeah I gave in to my curiosity.

Biore Marshmallow Facial Wash
I love the cutesy pink push bottle packaging.

Cezanne Eyebrow Powder in 01
I was looking for something I can put on my brows. I like how it have 3 colors similar to the shadow I also purchased.

Cezanne Eyeshadow in 01
I never tried this brand before, but I really really love the shimmer shadows of the pretty japanese girls I see on the streets. Its a dreamy beautiful shimmers.

Lip Baby Color Fruits Lip Balm in Peach Pink
For my sister again, well its an early Christmas gift? Its a lightly tinted balm with UV protection.

Lip Baby Fruits Lip Balm in White Peach Flavor
I also bought something for myself, its just fruity with white peach flavor but no color, it also have UV protection!

-oOo-

Okay so please never mind that I bought a bunch of facial cleansers! >_<" Actually I originally intend to buy Biore Make up remover or Kose but I cannot find the variant I wanted. The description are all in japanese, for tourists, like me its hard to buy stuff of course when I can't stand a thing. Luckily I have google for this, I just check out the image of the product I want to buy. Not in pictures, I also have Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion, The Faceshop Oil Clear Blotting Powder and Etude House Color My Brows. The korean brands are not from Japan, I actually got them in Changgi Airport. YAY!~

Before I end the post, the beautiful pink blush was actually Shiseido Maquillage PK200! It costs JPY 3500 in the airport Duty Free. I was not able to spot it on the places I've been. Its expensive but I dream to get one someday. The kind lady showed me the actual package. Hoho~

So that sums up my quick sneak peek on my next entries. Lemme know what you think about them?

Review: Celeteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipstick in Newest Shades: Nude, Ruby and Wine

Konnichiwa Beauties!
I just came back from a short but very memorable trip from Aichi Japan. It has been really a cold tour for us in Japan, and guess what I have brought with me? Its Celeteque's Dermocosmetics newest matte lipstick shades in nude, ruby and wine.

Rustic. I've already used them before the series of shots, sorry.

What is it?
Céleteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipsticks give your lips the alluring touch of a long-wearing formula that lends lips a vivid matte color finish.

Packaging
Its matte lipstick in crayon look twist type packaging. Its very light weight and easy to lug around. So far the name printed on the tube is still intact. The product is new so we still have a long way to go before we know if it stays for good or not. The shade name is on the cap but I hope it has some sort of sticker on the body of the tube itself so it will be easier to look for the right shade when I am a hurry. Not a big issue though~

Ingredients: Diisostearyl Malate, Polybutene, Octyldodecanol, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Trimethylolpropane Triisostearate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyethylene, Squalane, Euphorbia Cerifera(Candelilla) Wax, Ozokerite, Synthetic Wax, Triisostearyl Citrate, Glass, Microcrystalline Wax, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Tocopheryl Acetate, Silica, Dimethyl Silylate, BHT, Propylene Carbonate, Water, Bisabolol, Tin Oxide, CI 77891, CI 15850, CI 45410:1, CI 19140, CI 42090

Celeteque’s lippies have Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) that moisturizes lips, Bisabolol that reduces flaking and restores suppleness, as well as Candelilla Wax that nourishes lip skin.

Experience
The Dermocosmetics line of Celeteque just released their newest shades just in time for the festive season. Celeteque Matte Lipstick is now available in: Nude, Ruby and Wine. Upon opening the tube I realized it has no scent, which is a good point. Like I mentioned I brought these babies with me in my recent trip to Japan. I was a bit shocked on how cold it was there. The very cold temperature made my lips dry. Our schedule was also very tight and I need to have long lasting color on my lips because we will be moving around often.

Because of the cold season I needed an extra balm underneath. If swiped it glides very easily and leaves no icky feeling. However I prefer to tap the color unto my lips. I don't swipe it on because I want it to look natural. Because its matte I was actually expecting that my lips will flake, however that is not the case with Celeteque. The end result is more like velvety and my lips looks healthy. The color is honestly very vivid and there is no need to pile on too much product because its very opaque.

We started early, around 8:00am and end at 6:00pm. The only time I needed it to reapply is after a heavy meal. If its only snacks etc, the ruby and wine stays on my lips. Celeteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipsticks also doubles as a blush for me because I also tap it on my cheeks for extra color. Its matte so its very nice for the cheeks and it does last long just like when its used for the cheeks.

I am not good at describing colors, but I will try my best. Here we go:

Celeteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipstick in Nude
A brown orangey tone perfect for pink or peach blushes when you don't want to look made up but you also don't want to look bare.

Celeteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipstick in Ruby
A true red color but may go on light, depends on how it is applied. Its blue undertone and doesn't make teeth any yellow than it actually is. You can go from day to night look with this one.

Celeteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipstick in Wine
A bold reddish violet shade that will suit any skin tone. Easily define a glamorous and strong look with this color.

How much and where to buy?
I got this free but its P595 per lipstick, exclusively available in leading Watsons outlets nationwide.

What I love
  • Long lasting
  • No waxy icky feeling on lips
  • Only contains safe ingredients
  • No allergic reaction
  • Opaque color
  • Doesn't dry lips
  • Affordable for its quality
  • Light and travel friendly
  • Double purpose when used as blush
  • No scent or funky smell
What I don't
  • Nothing I can mention
TIPS
* Use your fingers to apply it on your lips. Just tap it on lightly to achieve a natural supple lips finish. Perfect for gradient effect as well!
* If going for an alluring look, you may swipe it on and apply on powder then another layer of color to intensify and make it longer lasting.

Will I repurchase?
Yes this is worth it! I bet this will last real long on me.

Overall~
With the busy season fast approaching, Celeteque Dermocosmetics Matte Lipstick is the way to go. Its long lasting and offers value for the price. No need for too much retouch during the daytime. No allergic reactions as well because they only used the safest ingredients. Kudos to this lipstick, I recommend this to everyone.

** JUST ME **
Movies on flight are amazing! Singapore Airlines offers a wide array of movies newly released. I highly recommend Love, Lies. It features Han Hyo Joo (the leading lady of Lee Jong Suk in W). Set on an old era of Korea it tackles the theme of love, friendship and betrayal. This movie made me cry buckets!
