Review: Lolane Z-Cool Color Milk Y6 Pistachio Latte

New Year, New Look! I have gotten this hair dye from last year, it seems so long ago already! Lol. My blonde hair doesn't look as it was before, its yellowish and brassy. My black roots is also showing up so I think this is the best time to color my hair.

I have checked out different hair dye brands and I have seen Lolane Z-Cool which is new and currently on promo. They have cool shades not available with other brands which made me want to try them out. I chose Pistachio latte, but I want to try the pink sakura next time. I am looking into darkening my hair to remove the brassiness. My hair was bleached 3 times and colored twice with Palty milk tea brown. After a few months the pretty milk tea shade has faded and I was left with a brassy color.

Amorous, dreamy & compassionate. She's a real princess!
Vibrant coloring by Lolane Z-Cool Color Milk Micro Crystal Technology and Vitamin C derivatives give better coloring effect to provide long lasting radiant and vibrant hair color as you desire. Hokkaido Milk Extract intensely moisturizes your hair as if treated with milk treatment.

Packaging
Unique box I am actually recycling them because they look so cute. I like how they designed the box with pink and white ensemble. Its clearly made in Thailand because of the wordings but unlike japanese dyes, Lolane Z-Cool offers english translations printed on the box.

Opening the box you will get: Color dye, 9% developer, Intense Care Keratin Repair Mask and gloves.

Experience
This shade is like greenish blonde. I like how they called it Pistachio which makes you think of the type of green it will be and latte for the brown shade its mixed with. The name is really witty. I chose this because I don't like to get orangey/brassy shade again.

So off to the procedure, after mixing for 60 seconds, I've left the formula for a little while to get the mixture runny. The formula is actually a little thick than it should making it hard to spread on the hair but if you wait for a bit, then the mixture will be easier to spread. I doubted that my roots will change color because there is very slight change even after 30 minutes. Good thing the mixture doesn't smell so bad unlike the other hair dyes I've used before and I am glad it have free gloves because like any other DIY process, coloring can be messy.

Okay so this is the before and after photos you've all been waiting for, glad that we will see the effect on blonde and on black hair, lol. Below is the photo for the before coloring process. Look at the black roots.

Then after the coloring process, here it is. Sorry if I look unhappy here. Of course the top is not blondish because its not bleached but I really like the shade of brown that it is. Its just pure chocolate brown with no brassiness at all. The ends looks fine but feels a bit dry despite using the keratin treatment of Lolane. I guess its not moisturizing enough. I was honestly expecting a darker shade than this but when compared to the color on the box I guess it looks exactly as what they promised.

How much and where to buy?
P249.50 for 2 boxes when it was on sale in Trinoma Department Store. Regular price is P249.50 per box.

What I love
  • Color stays true to the box
  • Greenish shade is love <3
  • Complete with gloves and bottle applicator
  • No strong ammonia scent
  • No allergic reaction
  • Removed brassiness
  • Lifted color on my roots
  • Easy to be done by yourself (perfect for DIY pips like me)
  • Affordable
What I don't
  • Dry hair, no shine
  • Smell of ammonia left on my hair
  • Formula is a bit difficult to spread on hair
Will I repurchase?
Yes! Another shade from Lolane Z-Cool!

Overall~
I really love the result of Lolane Z cool and my co workers like it too. Compared to the old yellow brassy strands of last year that is. It borders brown and blonde and kinda green in reality. Lolane Z-Cool Color offers a lot of fun shades you might want to try. Let us have better hair days this year nae? Aja!~

5 Hair Dyes to Get Shade of Pink

Hi beauties! What is your favorite color? Well mine is pink, this blog makes it too obvious, lol. Have you ever thought of having your hair tinted with your favorite color? Well I do. But most of the vibrant pink dyes are only available out of the country. In Manila I found out that there are hair dye brands which released shades of are brown with a hint of pink. A good option if you prefer a safe colors especially in Manila wherein striking colors are not a trend. Work and school won't allow too much pinks anyway, hehe. I think these hair dyes are great if you only like a shade of pink in your tresses. I haven't tried any of them yet, but I want to give a heads up that there are brands that offer exciting colors than the normal brown and blonde shades.

LEVEL 1: Liese Creamy Bubble Color in Rose Tea
This shade is more like purplish rather than pink. I think this will suit you if you like a sheen of purple pink shade in your hair.

LEVEL 2: Schwarzkopf Champagne Pink
It looks orangey pink shade. The reviews for this brand is quite limited.

LEVEL 3: Lolane Z-Cool Color with Hokkaido Milk Extract in Sakura Yogurt
This is new from Lolane, I've tried Lolane but not the Z-Cool variety of hair dye. They have various options from greenish ash blonde to pinks!

If you are thinking of dyeing your hair with a hint of pink, why not try one them? Anyone who used any of the brands yet?

Review: Palty Hair Color in Sakura Creamy

Palty color in Sakura Creamy

I cannot count the times I went to Trinoma Landmark to check their available hair colors for Palty. I was never interested in other brands of hair colors before (not until my friend told me that japanese colors leaves you with no brassy strands!) I believe and stand by Hortaleza brands of hair color, never did I experienced of a fail hair color with Hortaleza.

Because Palty is more expensive than my old hair color I felt the need for research. at first I was leaning blonde, because if I can be blonde without the brass that would be soooo cool. No need for hair toners.

In the end I settled for a color that is said to have red undertone. Remember when I colored my hair red? I still have this hidden love for red, auburn blablabla and [insert all red here]. The only reddish hue available is Raspberry Macaroon and Sakura Creamy. I settled for the latter because I was afraid that Raspberry Macaroon will be too much red for work. I was crossing fingers and hoping so bad that Sakura Creamy has enough red for me to love the end result~ @-@

What is it?
Palty color in Sakura Creamy
Moist and shiny light auburn hair color is sure to turn heads anywhere you might go. Long-wearing and vibrant color treats hair to the superbly hydrating ingredients of camellia oil, silicon and botanical protein, helping hair stay silky soft and protecting color for longer wear. DIY kit is equipped with all the materials needed, including detailed instructions, for a salon-level dye job in the privacy of your own personal space.

Packaging
The box is very kawaii and girly. However there is not much english on the box but its a good thing their instruction leaflet has english translation.

One box contains below:

1. Conditioner
2. Solution 1 (tube)
3. Solution 2 (bottle)
4. Instruction sheet & gloves
5. Bleach Powder (sachet)
6. Bottle Cap (with brush)

One box is not enough for girls with longer than shoulder length hair so I bought 2 boxes.

Experience
Because of the instruction leaflet the process was a breeze. Below is the step by step guide on how to use Palty Hair Color.
STEP 1
Squeeze the contents of the #1 solution (tube) into the #2 bottle solution.
There is very faint ammonia smell. I was not bothered by it at all.

 STEP 2
Shake it off! Shake it off! Ooh~ ooh~ Feeling like Taylor Swift haha.

STEP 3
Change the cap to brush.
My sister who helped me with coloring told me that it will be easy to actually do it alone. The bottle with the brush applicator is really nice. I hope every hair dye brand actually adapts this style.

Then color color color!~
I waited more than an hour before washing it off.

STEP 4
Use the Number 4 special treatment to bring back moisture to your hair.
I like the floral scent but it was not enough for my hair. T_T

This is a color chart from Palty, like I've said I chose Sakura Creamy because I was kinda scared to go for the full red shade as it clearly fitted the pink variant while Sakura Creamy border lined the orange and pink shade.

I left it long like one hour, well I want to make sure it will color my hair. The hair dye penetrated to my black virgin hair but it was not equally distributed especially on hard to reach areas sooo~

Surprise surprise! Brassiness is still present and it brought back my original hair color! Funny enough the reason why I bought it is to change my look yet I didn't realized it was the same shade as light blonde of Mondes. Loooool~

How much and where to buy?
P369.75 but I got a discount of 10% so its only P332.77 per box

What I love
  • Its non-drying
  • Faint ammonia smell
  • Roots in perfect color.
  • Easy process because of free bottle with brush applicator
  • Color is true to the box
  • Offers english leaflet!
  • Value for the price
What I don't
  • I hope one box is enough for long hair :P
  • I still got brassy hair

TIPS:
Make sure to get the help of somebody so make the color even

Will I repurchase?
Maybe not this shade

Overall~
Palty Hair Color in Sakura Creamy is a great color nevertheless, if you like to get an orangey hair that is. Next time I will go for more reddish hue (Rapsberry Macaroon?) I also want to try bubble hair dyes! Yay! <3

After around 3 days here is the color..

Review: Mondes Professional Hair Color Cream in Very Light Intense Golden Blonde

YAY! <3 Thursday afternoon again, what a cool breezy day isn't it?

Last night with the help of my lovely sissie I put an end to my months long ombre hair. I know its trendy to others but err I don't think it suits me. So there we go, the bleach + hair dye is still on the tips of my hair while on top of my head is all black. During our last trip to Hortaleza we got the lightest shade available from Mondes Professional Hair Color cream which is Very Light Intense Golden blonde. What a really long name, phew. hahaha and scary. But I don't intend to achieve blonde hair, based on experience the light shades will be more effective than browns if you hair is dark like mine.

I cannot remember what shade I used for the tips but I just plan to cover it up with the new color. They don't have Mondes brand for the oxidizing lotion so I settled in what they gave me which is Semon Professional Oxidizing Emulsion cream. The only one available for 12% Vol 40. In order to lift 3 or 4 levels of color/ lighten hair color you need 40 volumes.

I have tried using american brands for hair coloring before but sadly it doesn't work well with my hair. I am also an avid user of HBC Hair creams but when lightening hair I find that Mondes works better for me. I might also give bubble dyes a try next time because they offer amusing shades like pink mocha.

Mondes Professional Hair Color Cream Review

What is it?
Mondes Professional Coloring Cream has a unique formulation made especially for Asian hair. It has been tested to achieve color effectively and cover white hair fully.

Packaging
From the box to the tube there are endless instructions and precautions but one thing to take note is that: This product can develop an allergic reaction.

And a shot for the oxidizing cream:

Experience
So what we did is to mix the whole tube of Mondes hair cream with the oxidizing cream. When the cream and lotion is mixed well it must look like ice cream.

Then we follow this procedure after:
First Application
Evenly spread on hair length and tips and let it rest for 10 minutes. When the development time is over spread evenly on the roots.
Final treatment
when the resting time is over rinse the hair delicately and thoroughly with lukewarm water and shampoo.

The scent of Mondes hair cream is not as strong as other hair dyes. It is likeable but still chemical-ish. I like the fact that I don't get dizzy with the smell. Hair dyeing makes the hair sticky thus be careful on brushing and all.Because its light color make sure not to wear white, any old shirt preferably black is recommended to avoid stains. I washed off the hair dye after one hour. That is 15 minutes more than the waiting time, but i really want to make sure that the dye will change the color so~

I used Pantene 3 Minute Miracle afterwards, yay thanks Sampleroom. I know my hair is up for more damage after this coloring session.

How much and where to buy?
P120 for 100ml Mondes Hair Color Cream and P30 for the Oxidizing Cream from Hortaleza outlets

What I love

  • The scent is not too strong
  • Lifted my hair color!
  • Really Affordable
  • Lots of product compared to other hair color tubes
  • True to its name, blonde
  • Not much drying

What I don't

  • Nothing I can think of

TIPS
No metal containers can be used for mixing the hair color and oxidizing cream
Use gloves when coloring your hair
40 volumes is needed to lift dark color of the hair to 3 or 4 levels.
Do not apply on scalp if easily irritated by hair chemicals
Do sensitivity test for allergic reaction before usage

Will I repurchase?
Yes when I need to recolor which is about 2 months from now?

Overall~
Thumbs up! Still my favorite hair color cream brand. Voila, let us check my hair after.
Now the color of my hair is even than before. The top was kinda darker but I understand why. In real life it looks like the color is the same for the top and the hair length. I'm happy~

Any questions or comments lovelies? I'll be delighted to see them below!

UPDATE on meh: I will be receiving a bunch of products from Sampleroom by tomorrow. Yipee~
