Review: SilkyGirl Big Eye Smokey Eyeliner + Smudger

Lemme' share a new eyeliner find. You know how much I like Fashion 21 Eyeliner gals but I never stop in looking for cheap finds. Yay and so you know how hard it is to find a type of pencil eyeliner which won't leave you like a raccoon at the end of the day. I checked out Silkygirl and found their Big Eye Smokey Eyeliner + Smudger on sale.

Big Eye Smokey Eyeliner + Smudger
An eyeliner with a built-in smudger that is packed with a formula that gives a velvety, intense color to create stunning and dramatic smoky-eye. With its waterproof formula, you can be sure that you won’t end up with panda eyes. It also comes with colors that lasts to 12 hours.

* Built in smudger
* Last to 12 hours
* Waterproof
*Velvety & intense color

Its available in 2 shades: 01 Blackest black and 02 Dark brown
Net wt. 1.2g

Packaging
SilkyGirl Big Eye is a typical pencil eye liner with a handy smudger on the other end. It says to be made in Germany.

Ingredients: Dimethicone, Isododecane, Silica, Sucrose Tetrastearate Triacetate, Hydrogenated jojoba oil, Polybutene, Synthetic Wax, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Pentaerythrityl, Tetra-di-T-Butyl Hydroxhydrocinnamate, isoceteth-10, May
contain: Iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499) MICA, Titanium dioxide, Ultramarines, Ferric Ferricyanide

Experience
I've wanted to try this liner ever since I've seen it in Silkygirl kiosk. I will review it based on its product function, so shall we?

* Built in smudger - yay I am not a big fan of smokey eye but this is a possibility.
* Last to 12 hours - yes! It is long lasting. I put on the morning and it last till evening. There are product fall outs but I do not look like a racoon. However it still depends on how you apply it because one time I apply it on a not-so matte lids and it kinda smeared.
* Waterproof - yes. Its waterproof but not rubbed when wet. Tried rubbing it when its dry and it is still there. For the waterline, well its not so good but that is pretty normal to me. I guess any product that will stay perfect on my waterline will be a product with some sort of magic.
*Velvety & intense color -impressive black color payoff with no shimmers. No tugging with this pencil eye liner. Consistency is similar to gel liner, only in pencil form.

How much and where to buy?
Its P199 but I got it on sale for P100.

What I love
  • Velvet smooth swipe even though its in pencil form
  • No tugging
  • Intense black color
  • No sparkles
  • Matte finish
  • When applied correctly it won't budge
  • Waterproof
  • Lasts the whole day on upper lid
  • Doesn't make my lids itchy
  • No allergic reaction
  • Easily removed by soap and water
  • Affordable when I got it on sale, reasonable for the regular price
What I don't
  • Cannot make cat eye flicks
  • Not oil proof
  • Okay with under eye area but doesn't last the whole day
  • Need to sharpen (not retractable)

TIPS
Make sure your lids is matte when you apply it on.

Will I repurchase?
Yes
Overall~
A functioning waterproof pencil eye liner with no tugging, consistency similar to gel liners and lasts the whole day. I love Silkygirl and its a pretty decent pencil for the sale price. For normal price days I am buying the retractable version because its cheaper.

Review: Gluta-White Glutathione Skin Whitening Capsule

Annyeong beauties! I only drink Gluta White capsules when I am stressed out and too busy on my day to day activities to detoxify myself. Well after a few research, I've known that Glutathione does help in reliving chronic stress.

Chronic stress is the response to emotional pressure suffered for a prolonged period of time in which an individual perceives he or she has little or no control. Credits
and
Glutathione is a triple threat to toxins. It neutralizes free radicals, enhances the immune system and detoxifies the liver. Credits

Thus my reason on taking Gluta-White. So how did it fare?

 Gluta-White Glutathione Skin Whitening Capsule

BENEFITS:
Potent Anti-Oxidant
Detoxicant
Cell Repair and Regenerator
Anti-Aging
Immune Booster
Sport Supplement
Skin Lightener

How to Use: For beginners, we do recommend that you start off with 1 capsule per day of GlutaWhite 100mg and slowly increase your dosage 100mg per week until you have reached the recommend dosage of 20mg per kilogram of body weight.

  • Remember it is required to take GlutaWhite only after every breakfast and lunch with a full glass of water together with an equal or higher dosage of Vitamin C to prevent gastric irritation.
  • Desired results will probably take 3-4 months of use depending on the persons general health, lifestyle and skin tone.
  • GlutaWhite is Generally Safe with pills and will not disrupt regular menstrual cycle. For men and women ages 16 and up!
  • GlutaWhite is best taken with SureChoice Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C). The rule of thumb is to take an EQUAL or slightly higher dose of SureChoice Sodium Ascorbate.

Its FDA Approved, PIPAC Tested, GRAS Certified and manufactured By Am-Europharma Corp.

Packaging
I buy them by 10's. So I get them in foil packaging. However its also available in box, which means you will be buying a lot. Since I am buying them not for the reason of whitening let's leave it at at least 20-30 pcs only.

Experience
Its not my first time to take Gluta-White, I take it month after another when I feel I need to detoxify. Taking Gluta-White is easy because its in easy to swallow capsule form. It doesn't have a minty after take feeling in my throat and it doesn't make me palpitate. I also don't experience headaches or other negative reactions.

I only take the 100mg because I believe that minimal amount taken is more effective. As instructed you may add up another 100mg every week until you reach 500mg in which you can the glutathione capsules for at least 4-5 months to get whitening results. I do not reach that point yet though, whitening is a serious and take note, expensive business. I might just do with soaps at the moment but I am pretty contented with the 100mg capsules.

What does 100 mg Gluta-White does to me? Well ever since I took it I get less pimples on my chin and cheeks. I am near my red days but I am still not breaking out and I even have better skin nowadays. Take note that I am not using any other special products now except Gluta-White. I also have increased metabolism that is why I feel light, which is good.

How much and where to buy?
Php 17.50 each at Mercury Drug Store

What I love
  • Cheap
  • Possible to buy retail
  • No reverse reactions
  • No palpitations
  • No minty feeling on throat
  • Easy to swallow
  • Detoxifies
  • Increased metabolism
  • Brighter skin
  • Pimples gone
  • Less breakouts before my red days

What I don't
  • Doesn't whiten skin because its only 100mg

Will I repurchase?
Yes. I buy this in an occasional basis already.

Overall~
For regular detoxification Gluta-White Glutathione Skin Whitening Capsule can be a good skincare buddy. It just works and its cheap. If for the purpose of whitening I recommend their 500mg variant. This is safe and at the same time good for the skin way to detoxify.

I agree to Gluta-White's tag line now, its indeed the SECRET to a Younger, Healthier and Glowing You!!!

Review: ACNECARE Lactoferrin Anti-Acne Complex

Acne is one of the most common skin condition for many. It usually starts during adolescence period and then has a chance to continue until adulthood in which we then call acne breakout. There are a lot of reasons in why we get sudden acne breakout on our face that is why there are also a lot of products intended for the treatment of pimples.

Just like any other kids I have experienced getting acne on my face during my high school years. Maybe its in the genes, maybe its in the makeup that I used, maybe its in what I eat, maybe its due to the pollution, and the maybe's are endless. Amidst the maybes only one thing is for sure, acne ruins one's self confidence. Not everyone are pimply, there are people who are blessed with flawless skin and I must admit that I envy them before. My case is not so bad now and my face only gets acne every now and then.

Moving on, let me introduce you to my younger brother. He is a shy type kind of kid who is often playing his mobile games, watching movies in the tv instead of playing outside or meeting with his friends. With him in the adolescence period he became a lot taller, his voice is deeper and his face got -pimples. I know I blog and I know a lot of products he can try but my mom says he is still young and it might be harsh for his skin. Sometime last year I think, Acnecare sent a package which contains AcneCare soaps and two bottles of AcneCare Lactoferrin Anti-Acne Complex. I don't feel the need to use it yet because my skin is okay, I completely forgot about it until last year November that I've let my brother try it.

ACNECARE Lactoferrin Anti-Acne Complex
Introducing the revolutionary 1st Lactoferrin capsule in the Philippines!
AcneCare Oral Anti-acne Supplement has the combination of three potent skin actives that bring you the Acne3 Complex.

#MayPagAsaPa #PimplesNoMore
AcneCare - Clinically Proven 44% less Acne in 2 weeks
Fights off Acne ,Red spots and other Skin Blemishes.Naturally !
AcneCare can reach cells where creams and lotions can't.
Packaging
Plastic bottle lists all ingredients and manufacturing/expiration date. One bottle contains 30 capsules which will only last 2 weeks if to be taken as directed.

Ingredients per capsule: Lactoferrin 100mg, Linumlife Extra 25mg, Zinc Gluconate 6.4mg
Recommended: Take 1 capsule every morning and evening (2 daily) or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Manufactured for Vida Nutriscience, the same name behind SnowCaps and Snowskin
Experience
My brother's face has not just inflamed pimples he also have blackheads. He is really oily especially when he comes back from school and whenever he plays mobile games for too long.

DAY1
Severe pimples and blackheads are still present. I asked him to continuously take at least one capsule per day. He is still a kid after all, as a start instead of two, he takes one.

Week 2-3
I actually took a photo at Day 25, he is very shy in front of the camera. I've swear to hide his eyes at least though. He is less oily nowadays and I seldom see inflamed pimples on his cheeks.

Week 4
The red marks are still there but most of his acne has dried up. He showed me his forehead today and its much more makinis na (more flawless) than the day he started taking the AcneCare capsules. His face has obviously less its bumps than before. I won't lie, he still gets a pimple every now and then but its not as many as before. The picture below will speak for itself, it did worked like wonders.

How much and where to buy?

Got it for free but it retails at P885 per bottle. Its available at Mercury Drugstores, Watsons and SouthStar drugstore

What he likes
  • Easy to swallow capsules
  • No negative reactions
  • Skin was less oily
  • Less blackheads
  • No cystic/inflamed pimples anymore
  • Dried his acne
  • Doesn't contain bad chemicals
  • Better skin as days progresses
  • Works as promised
What he doesn't
  • Nothing mentioned

Will I repurchase? Yes, much possibly will.

Overall~
Most of the time we will only resort to topical ointments to cure breakouts and acne however this skin condition can leave scars which are possible to be permanent. It depends on how shallow or deep the scar is remember that prevention is cure. After I have seen how much difference it made to my brother's face and I am positive that it can possibly work for people with the same case too. Hopefully his face will clear up with continuous take of the capsules. He has finished 2 bottles as of writing this.

For guys and girls who have acne, constant breakout and looking for a solution, I recommend AcneCare.

Have you tried taking acne supplements to get rid of acne breakouts? You may share your story in the comments!~

Review: Maybelline Micellar Water

Happy first week of 2017 gals. A bit of throwback, for today I will review something I bought from the last Lazada sale which is Maybelline Micellar Water. Yes I have been so in love with Loreal Micellar water for a little while now, so I want to know how the Maybelline one is different.

Maybelline Micellar Water
4-in1 product: Removes makeup, Cleanses, Hydrates and Soothes
No fragrance, alcohol free, fresh and oil free

Packaging
Bottle is simply a transparent plastic with simple screw cap. Its color is pink, which is again, guys and gals my favorite. I just felt like mentioning it haha. When turned upside down it doesn't leak, which is a good thing. It even have this safety foil to make sure that the product inside is fresh and new.

Experience
Like pure water it has no scent. It does stay true to its 4 in 1 promise.

Removes makeupWhat I really like with micellar waters is the fact that there is no need to tug the skin when removing makeup. The dirt is easily magnetified by the cotton ball like magic. Its is very different compared the old makeup removers I've used before.

Cleanses - Tired and straight for bed? If I use Micellar water there is no need for extra cleansing with water and facial wash.

Hydrates - Its not an oily type of makeup remover but it gives hydration to my skin. No tight feeling at all.

Soothes - My skin feels refreshed and so much better whenever I use this.

How much and where to buy?
P199 I bought mine at Lzada. But its also available in the Maybelline kiosks in the leading Watsons and beauty sections of the leading department stores nationwide. Only, if its not out of stock.

What I love

  • Affordable
  • Refreshes skin
  • Frees skin from makeup
  • Removes even my stubborn mascara
  • Multi purpose
  • Can double as toner
  • Can also be used as facial spray
  • No skin tugging to remove dirt
  • Does not dry out skin
  • No scent
  • no breakouts
  • Easy to bring bottle
  • Available in Watsons and online
  • Works as advertised

What I don't

  • Nothing I can mention

TIPS:
Refill an empty atomizer bottle and use this as facial spray!

Will I repurchase?
Maybe. But there are a lot of Micellar brands I still want to try~

Overall~
Maybelline Micellar Water works as advertised. Loyal Maybelline users this product won't disappoint! I love how this product works without the hefty price tag. Its gentle and doesn't break me out. It can even be a multi-purpose item, try it! :)

~oOo~

My friend says she is a single core worker so she can't multi-task. I guess so am I. But I am trying so hard to do a lot of things at once lately. Which includes blogging, hope you enjoyed my post, any comments just drop in the comments.

AICHI DAY 1: Kabuto Beer & Sake Brewery, Himaka Octopus & Minamichita Hot Spring

I know I owe you guys and gals some posts from my November Japan trip in Aichi Prefecture. First and foremost I want to thank you Aichi for the awesome trip! We came to Japan as a group. Media and agencies from Vietnam and Singapore were also in the tour.

This has been my second chance to go to Japan, the first time is when I went to Tokyo and Kyoto respectively and it was also Autumn Season in September. My recent trip to Japan however was in Aichi Prefecture and its on the first week of November! I was really not sure on what to expect in Aichi, all I know is that they house Toyota Museum, so our trip is a good eye opener that there is so much more to see!

Our itinerary includes a place where we experienced both Sakura and Autumn season in one go, follow this series of posts to believe. This will be a lengthy post and also full of pictures. Yay, so here we go~

My airport fashion, lol!
Flight
There are 3 airlines that flies directly to Nagoya: Cebu Pacific, Jetstar and Philippine Airlines. To be able to arrive early in the morning we need to take Singapore Airlines. Our route was Manila-Singapore and Singapore-Nagoya. It was a long trip indeed, good thing that they served us good food, I mean just look at this:

Lots of option of beverages from Singapore Airlines
Yummy In flight Meal
Airport
Singapore Airport, which is in the list of top 10 airports in the world according to Skytrax have this train system for transfers between Terminals, hope we have this in NAIA.

Skytrain going to our Terminal
We reached Singapore at around 10:45 PM. ts a long tiring connecting flight, good thing that the Singapore Airport is not crowded and they even have this playground inside for kids. Wow~

Playground inside Singapore Airport
In Japan you do not have to worry because there are wifi rental, internet sim cards and foreign money exchange kiosks inside the airport. I don't have any pictures of Nagoya Airport upon arrival because we moved fast upon landing, our first stop was Handa City.

HANDA CITY
Handa has on old town feel and there are barely people on the streets. It has laid back atmosphere. We would be visiting the  Red Brick Building and Kunizakari Sake Brewery.

Red Brick Building: Old Kabuto Beer Brewery
Handa Red Brick Building is one of the five largest structures bult during the Meiji period and also a  very rare surviving example of a brewery building. Its made of multi-layered cavity walls and brick-arch floor construction which is rare nowadays.

Beautiful scenery of Handa Canal

Big Barrel!

Chance for Photo opp!
Kabuto Beer is no longer brewed in the Red Brick Building's old factory, another local brewer makes it in limited supply. Now it operates as a restaurant and souvenir shop. The old factory has Victorian architectural style which makes it an interesting place.

Inside the museum: 2 ways of making the cavity wall

Traces of machine gun fire and semi ground structure of Handa Red Building

Kunizakari Sake no Bunkaken Museum
In contrast to the red color of our first stop, Sake Brewery on the other hand is a dark colored structure. This black building was used as a sake brewery for 200 yrs already so it will make you feel the history. In front of the entrance there is a hanging sugitama (pine cone ball) it means new sake is made. As sugitama dries and change its color it lets people know how mature the sake is.

Sake brewery. 1st floor is storage and 2nd floor is the museum
The Sake
They have different flavors of sake, I don't really drink but I love the peach sake because it taste like juice.

Sake for sale
At the end of the tour you can have sake tasting of the different types of sake.
Sake Tasting

HIMAKA ISLAND

"Himakaso"
We were transfered from Handa to Himaka Island from Katana Fishing Port by a chartered ship. We will have lunch at "Himakaso".

Lunch time at Himakaso

One thing to look forward when eating at Himaka Island is the fresh octopus! They also serve fugu or blow fish. One thing to note is that most of the food served is raw. You may request for non-raw meal though.
Seaside view

We also had an experience of drying out octopus.
Dried octopus!

Octopus Statue of Himaka Island
Himaka Island is also a place to buy a lot of dried goodies. They also have green tea ice cream (not in pictures) which is really good.

MINAMICHITA TOWN

Kaieikan Shachitei: Minamichita Hot Spring Resort
For our first day we stayed at Minamichita Hot Spring Resort. This is a ryokan type of accommodation which means traditional Japanese inn which usually feature tatami-matted rooms and communal baths.

Photo of my tatami matted room
Beautiful sea side of Minamichita

Sunset view
We were able to wear yukata at dinner. We can actually use this all around the hotel, but the weather is really cold so we prefer not to. I've worn this also before going up the ryokan to try their hot spring bath! Kimochi~ I was a bit aloof at first because its nude bathing. But hey, men and women's side is separated so don't you worry. However I am still a bit uncomfortable, glad that I was alone when I went in hehe. Its a very relaxing and such a worthwhile experience.

Authentic Japanese Cuisine at Ryokan
Cooking inside is a big shrimp!
Fresh Sushi!

We strolled and found a single K Circle Convenience Store. Minamichita Town is far away from the City and its very peaceful. Might be a perfect place to unwind and just be one with nature.

Inside my room its so quiet that its killing me, so I turned on the tv and watched japanese shows. I like how fascinating japanese commercials are.

Oyasumi Nasai!
My first day in Aichi is a very long tiring but fun filled day. I will be posting about my succeeding days in Aichi prefecture on my next posts, I don't usually post a lot of photos in one go so I hope you enjoyed this entry!~
