First Impression: Professional Skin Care Formula by Dr. Alvin Rejuvenating Set

Hi Lovelies, Happy Tuesday!
Lemme share something I bought last Saturday. Tadaaa~
Rejuvenating set from Professional Skin Care Formula.

It has been years since I have last used their product. I remember being so adventurous on using skin care products back then. I've tried Beauche, local obagi sets etc then now its Professional Skin Care Formula Rejuvenating Set. All facial sets have one similar effect though and its to micropeel.

My mom has been bugging me to buy a set beauty set from Professional Skin Care formula since she often watch Kabuhayang Swak na Swak and this brand is almost always featured.
And so I did, I'm such a good girl haha

Just like other rejuvenating sets I've seen online, this set consists of kojic acid soap, rejuvenating toner, 4 in 1 bleaching cream and sunblock cream.

It is highly recommended to only use the product for not more than 30 days. The set comes with a cute transparent pouch and the instruction.

First Impression:
On my first night, I used the kojic acid soap and I did not felt it sting (at least not yet). The rejuvenating toner cleanses extra makeup left from washing. The bleaching cream is not at all sticky and is absorbed quickly by the skin. The products are all unscented, thumbs up!

I will be posting a full review once I finish the period of usage recommended for the set. See you on my next post!

JUST ME:
My favorite song for the week. Fuu~ lemme breathe Girls Day is so beautiful in this music video. Girls Day FTW!

Review: Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

I bought this on a whim. Lels as you see, I am fan of multi-purpose products, it makes me feel like I save up money. But hehe funny is that I am easily swayed by such promotion which leads me to buy more which is not saving at all. How ironic is that?

Anyway for today I will be reviewing a product I got from Nature Republic, its Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel which I call Aloe Vera Gel for short. When I entered their store I was welcomed by this in-store signage.

8 purpose in one! Sugoiii~
And I have this certain thing for 'aloe vera'. I like how refreshing aloe vera is and yes its a no brainer! So off to the review:

What is it?
It is a soothing aloe vera gel with 8 uses.

Packaging
It's in a tub. I know I know, you might say its unhygienic but I think its the best way to keep a gel product. It has a screw cap with a transparent lid inside to make it secure

Experience
I really intend to use Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel as a moisturizer. Crazy, I haven't tried the other uses but I will! I promise to update this when I am not as busy. I really like how non-sticky it is and it is easily absorbed by the skin. The scent is love love love! Its therapeutic~ <3 Just like how I expect this aloe vera gel should be! Its a total treat on the under eyes, especially now that its summer. Its very timely that I bought this as its an instant refreshing product to use after a long tiring day of work.

I also use an exfoliant now but with the help of Nature Republic Soothing Aloe Vera Gel I bid the flaky skin goodbye!

How much and where to buy?
Nature Republic stores in SM. 300ml of product only costs P245.

What I love
Refreshing
Moisturizing
Not sticky
Not oily
No more flaked skin during exfoliation
Soothes skin
Easily absorbed by the skin
Aloe vera scent

What I don't
It has alcohol in it

TIPS
This is a bomb if used to relax swollen eyes! Hooray for pamper time~
Can be applied using fingers or with cotton pads

Will I repurchase?
I am guessing that I will!

Overall~
A great aloe vera product. Nature Republic Soothing and Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is my new favorite moisturizer. I am serious in getting back my skin care routine to ensure clear complexion hehe ...And my first step is to change what I use to products I can really count on, hello korean products!

Have you tried this product from Nature Republic? Feel free to share your favorite moisturizer at the moment. *winks*

Just Me: My First PNR Experience

Annyeong! For today I will be posting something I learned last week. As I search for the best route from my place to Makati I thought of riding the PNR or Philippine National Railway.

I remember that I tried riding once from Makati and it was fast compared if I take a bus (so much traffic) and one train ride. However they stopped the operations some time ago during 2009.

First thing we must know is, where do exactly the train of PNR go? I asked a couple of people and apparently all of them are clueless on what route the PNR has today. It was hardly advertised unlike LRT and MRT. I checked out several posts regarding the commuter service but I didn't find enough information, giving me more reason to try it again.

Unlike the other train systems in the Metro, PNR follows a schedule:

South bound is the route from Tutuban to Alabang and Alabang to Tutuban is Northbound.

Just a quick recap about PNR:

Philippine National Railway

Running for over 120 years, the Philippine National Railway (PNR) is one of the oldest train systems in the region. PNR's Commuter Express trains run from Tutuban Station in Manila to Alabang in Mutinlupa City.

PNR Fare matrix
My sister is bound for Sta. Mesa while me, we only paid P10 each for our tickets I heard even PNR will be increasing their rates but I bet it will still be cheaper than if we take MRT or LRT. I don't have anything against MRT and LRT 1 but they just increased their rates. I bought a new stored value card and it is already P150. :( Now a round trip LRT ride going to EDSA or even Gil Puyat will cost me P60. And the box office lines every morning especially Monday is still there, PRICE+Long lines makes it clearly a no-go. Sometimes the hardest moments of your everyday life doesn't come from work or school but from commuting.

One thing I noticed is that the ones mandating the station are lenient in letting passengers wait so close to the platform area. I even saw one guy seating on the platform. Gone are the jingles about security and safety, that's only available in LRT.

Hello ate!
Going back to my story, so we will be riding PNR from Blumentritt because its the nearest station from us. We cross our fingers that it won't be crowded because its non-peak hours. Alas the train came just in exactly at 2:12 PM. There was noise and the train is already old and rusty like the last time I have seen one. I felt excited like I'll be riding the infamous Harry  Potter ride because just like the latter its an old train. We were able to take seats, I was amazed that it is air conditioned, just imagine if its not. It was one hot afternoon and nothing will be worst than an un-airconditioned train.

Enough seats for everyone. I guess we are lucky. There is even music playing in the background. Can you say awesome?

In just 10 minutes my sister was able to get off at Sta. Mesa station, that is a 30-40 minutes slash on her usual ride to school! Cool! Buendia Station on the other hand is a 30 minutes ride, not bad!

One thing to note is that, the PNR just like any other service, are filled with people during mornings, Mondays and peak hours. If you intend to use PNR during this time I suggest to go really really ahead of your time. Right now the point to point stations are Tutuban to Alabang and vice versa. I have no news on the Bicol or farther stations of PNR or when it will resume services.

Btw I just wanna share, I watched tv and it was mentioned Manila and Bicol is almost as far as Tokyo and Osaka. In Japan they have shinkansen (japanese term for bullet train which I tried before! kyaa~) and the train ride only takes 1 hour. Awesome. Hopefully someday our PNR evolves like a Pokemon and become a shinkansen.

You can check out the official schedule released by the PNR Management last December, 2014 in their website. Both list available for Southbound and Northbound routes with corresponding time for each station, you can right click and open or save:

(NORTHBOUND/ Alabang to Tutuban)

SOUTHBOUND (Tutuban to Alabang)

NOTE:
Post made with rates according to the current time of posting: March, 2015
For updates regarding their service, I found their PNR facebook page.

Hope this post will be helpful for anyone who wants to try the PNR service!
See you in my next post!~ *wink*
