Review: Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light

I have been in a splurge on skin care lately. I have found love in my Pax Moly regimen but I try different products every now and then. Being stressed with work took its toll on my skin so I thought why not check out something new? Here we go with another korean skincare product called Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light. I honestly don't use ampoules and serums much. I think its more of a korean routine that I am yet to adapt. I am more into creams, moisturizers, gels etc. However this product is raved lately because it was said to work like magic in minimizing acne and pimple marks as fast as one night. Well why not give it a try?

What is it?
Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light
[15ml]

  • Treats melasma, dark spots and hyper pigmentation
  • Whitening
  • Anti wrinkles
  • Moisturizing
  • Smoothing

I seriously can't find much information about the product but its all over facebook sellers so here we go.

Packaging
The product is in a dark bottle which keeps the ampoule safe from sunlight. I remembered one similar product called 'Elujai?' That is pretty similar with the packaging and product benefits.

Experience
When I have received my bottle of Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light I noticed that its only half full. The scent is very fresh and I like it. When applied it surprised me how non greasy and light it is. It has a very thin consistency and within just a second it was fully absorbed by my skin. I even reapplied because its like I didn't put anything at all. However that is okay, because not all moisturizing products sits on the skin. I applied it on my recent acne breakout but it doesn't seem to be very effective on minimizing it. However after less than a month of usage my skin has certainly felt moisturized inside out. Its also brighter and I believe my dark spots has also lightened a bit. I've been using Nature SC Honey Ampoule everyday so it didn't really lasted too long on me.

How much and where to buy?
P160 at www.shopee.ph/minahree

What I love
Lightly scented
Moisturizing
Not sticky
Didn't broke me out
Easily absorbed by the skin
Affordable
Not easily accessible - you can only buy online

What I don't
No english translations/ ingredient list or expiration on the bottle

Will I repurchase?
Yes, I just did.

Overall~
Nature SC Propolis Honey Ample Light is a pretty affordable ampoule and since it does what it says I am giving it a few more tries. For a korean skincare ampoule this is a steal.

Review: Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream

I personally don't go for matte lipsticks before because I like lip tints better. The Korean beauty trend of naturally tinted lips have gotten into me, big time. However when more brands released their own matte lip lines I got curious. What is so good with matte lipsticks that they're all into it? All of my  answers were answered when Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream arrived on our doorsteps.

What is it?

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream
This kissproof and transfer resistant lipcolor applies like a liquid lipstick that dries to a matte finish. It stays on your lips through day and night activities requiring minimal touch-ups.

Lightweight
Fragrance-free
Carmine-free
Paraben-free and
Not tested on animals

Packaging
Tadaaa~ Like any other liquid lipstick, Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream is in a clear plastic tube with sponge tip doe foot applicator. Its not flimsy and takes the right amount of product for a tinted natural lips look but if you're going for the full lips you will need to apply more.

Shades 1, 2 and 3 is actually a bit similar when you look at it so I need to double check the bottom part where they have the shade number and shade printed. The ingredient list is on the plastic cover of the lip cream.

Experience
Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream is very smooth to apply. In terms of texture think of velvet matte and its very comfortable to wear. When applied heavily it stays the whole day. The darker the shade you use, the more long lasting it is. Its highly pigmented because it can cover my lips with just one swipe. The color is opaque but I don't recommend layering it much because it will crack and it will already feel heavy. I ate and drink and the color is still there with very minimal fading. This one is kissproof and transfer resistant and indeed very matte! Its fragrance free, light weight and non-sticky. If my lips is not properly moisturized sometimes the lip cream accentuate lip lines.

Matte looks bring out the corporate girl in me. Amazingly it lasts 6 hours on me. Its very creamy but dries into matte with the sufficient time for you to blend it in and make the application even.

01 Retro
Orangey nude shade, I'd like it more if its more brown but I like how fresh it makes me look. It doesn't make me look warm too even though it has an orange undertone.

02 Glamour
Creamy rose pink. A pink undertone nude shade which looks rosey pink in the tube but peachy pink when applied.

03 Rebel
Barbie pink shade that has a lot of purple undertone. It lasts long and its very nice especially when dabbed on the lips.

04 Vintage
Its like an old deep rose shade with a lot of brown.

05 Vixen
A red shade which leans more on red orange. I like how bright it looks on my lips and in the tube.

At first its shiny when applied but its pure matte when left after a minute or two. I like using my fingers to dab it on. I like it natural looking, but sometimes it just depends on my mood.

And then, here’s how it looks when I wear it. Among 5 shades my favorite would be Vixen.

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Rebel

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Retro

Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream in Vixen

There is supposedly 5 photos for each shade, sadly I accidentally deleted the other two. :(
(I will try to update this post with the missing shades when I can.)

How much and where to buy?
P299

What I love
  • Pigmented
  • The applicator is not flimsy (I like using fingers for the 'tinted' look though)
  • Affordable
  • Long-lasting
  • Doesn't budge when set
  • Doesn't make lips dry nor peel
  • Wearable colors
  • Comfortable and light
  • Non-sticky
  • If not layered too much, it doesn’t crack
What I don't
  • May accentuate lip lines
Will I repurchase?
I really like Vixen and Rebel. If you need a nude shade you may choose one from Glamour, Retro and Vintage. They have very minimal color difference in actual.

Overall~
With so many brands joining the bandwagon of matte lipsticks I can say Silky Girl did a pretty good job with their Matte Junkie Lip Creams. It doesn't dry my lips despite being matte and all shades look flattering on me. The color looks opaque even without layering. Its smooth and creamy and definitely unscented. It may settle on the lip line but it still depends on how you apply it.

Removing it is also not an issue, just soap and water and you're good. You bet this is a good choice, if you're in for a matte long lasting color then try Silky Girl Matte Junkie Lip Cream.

Review: Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder Foundation

Hello November! I had the writer's block lately its like I want to write but I don't have creativity to do it. I know other bloggers feel the same every now and then, especially when there are a lot of things happening at work than in real life! Lately I feel like I don't have the work-life balance anymore. Well maybe its just me adjusting with my new environment, I am yet to find out. Anyway gals so I am drifting away from our review for the day, I know I owe you a lot of beauty reviews already, so sorry! Not very long ago, Silky Girl is very kind to send me a package which includes Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder Foundation in all four shades.

Packaging
I am in love with their baby pink plastic compact powder. It easily closes and with a click, it locks for safety. I really like how nice and girly it is, its something I can proudly use because its definitely my color!

Experience
Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder is actually the 2nd powder foundation I've tried from Silky Girl. The first one is __. This powder is unscented and doesn't have shimmers. Its not powdery and there is minimal fall outs even when I've used brush for the application, I prefer the sponge it comes with though. Its very useable, unflimsy and doesn't smell! Its also very smooth to apply and it doesn't accentuate pores at all, it gives light to medium coverage. It also brightens up my skin tone and it gives an effortless natural flawless look. The end result is matte but not flat and can keep the oil at bay for 2-3 hours. I've used this as a finishing powder as well where I've used it on top of my bb cream because its very light on the face. I still use concealer if I have dark marks I want to cover.

How much and where to buy?
available at Silky Girl kiosks at the leading department stores and beauty supplies shops such as W

What I love
  • Matte but radiant finish
  • Long lasting
  • Doesn't accentuate pores
  • Light to medium coverage
  • No shimmers
  • Matte but not flat
  • Very smooth to apply
  • Unscented
  • Not powdery with minimum fall outs
  • Sponge is not flimsy!
  • Perfect for natural flawless look
  • Can be a finishing powder
  • Light on the face
  • Didn't break me out
  • Not 3 but 4 shade range!
  • Value for money

What I don't
  • Average staying power

TIPS
For even lighter coverage you may use a kabuki brush for application.

Will I repurchase?
Yes

Overall~
II really like how Silky Girl doesn't disappoint with their powder foundation. Silky Girl Magic BB All-In-One Powder Foundation is for office girls like me who wants a decent powder foundation that fits all their needs but wants to spend within the budget.

Review: Snow Skin Whitening Cream

Its Tuesday once again and its raining crazy outside. This is the perfect weather for sleeping and getting extra charge since most of you are on a holiday. We are exempted though but I am contented with just having 8 hours of beauty sleep. Vida Nutriscience has sent me their complete line of whitening products and it includes Snow Skin Whitening Cream which I use just before sleeping.

What is it?
Snow Skin Whitening Cream says:
Reveal the beautiful You with SNOW Skin Whitening Cream's Elite 7 Skin Whitening Actives that whiten and lighten the skin while reversing skin problems such as dark spots, age spots, acne marks, old scars, uneven skin tone and melasma.

Get luminous white skin that is naturally bright. Redeem your beautiful skin. Keep the natural beauty glowing from within.

ELITE 7 Skin Whitening Actives:
1. IBR TCLC (Tomato Colorless Carotenoids)
2. IBR-Snow flake
3. Plant extract from the Swiss alps
4. Bearberry extract
5. Alpha arbutin
6. Beta glucan
7. Phenylethyl Resorcinol

How to use: After cleansing & toning apply generous amount to your face.

Packaging
I like the airless pump dispenser, its made with sturdy plastic material and it has Snow's simple but classy black, white and red combination. Handle the transparent cap with care because its a bit delicate, mine just broke.

Experience
Snow Skin Whitening Cream is a scented moisturizer which is good if you like scented face products. I prefer unscented face products I got used to it after using it more often. The cream is light gray in color and its thick in consistency but spreads easily. I would like to use this on the rainy season because its a heavy type of moisturizer. It blurs out my pores so definitely something I like to use under makeup if I won't be commuting. There is an instant radiant effect upon application. After a month of usage, my skin tone has evened out but what is more, I noticed that dark marks left by my present breakouts are not visible as they were.

How much and where to buy?
1 bottle is 50ml and it costs P1499

What I love
  • Hydroquinone free
  • Paraben-free
  • Airless dispenser
  • Lightened dark acne marks
  • Moisturized my skin well
  • Great for the cold rainy weather
  • Radiant skin after application
  • Easy to spread

What I don't
  • Not a fan of scented products
  • Can be heavy or sticky when used for the day
  • Not easily absorbed by skin
  • Not for humid weather
  • Steep price for 50ml whitening cream

Will I repurchase?
I have a couple of moisturizers to finish but I'll definitely consider this on the rainy days.

Overall~
Snow Skin Whitening Cream can be your best bet for winter or chilly season. It might be too heavy for summer or when you will commute for the day so I suggest that you use it only at night. I love how well moisturized and radiant my skin is whenever I use this. In terms of whitening I can only speak for the lightened dark marks but who knows what will happen after a bottle or two? I recommend this to girls with dry skin who wants to try a highly moisturizing product that also promises to whiten the skin. It has very safe ingredients so if you are in for something new from the usual kojic or vitamin C creams, you've got to try this.

What is your favorite moisturizer for the rainy season?

Review: Pax Moly Real Aloe Vera Face Mask Pack

Did you know? The best way to moisturize your skin before makeup is to use a hydrating face mask. I watched in one of Daddoa's makeup tutorials that she used a face mask right before applying makeup. It actually makes sense! Have you ever experienced that no matter how much moisturizer and primer you slather on you still end up with a cakey foundation finish? The solution is face sheet masks. There are different kind of sheet masks but basically there is more to it than giving glow and hydration. The recent one I've used is Pax Moly Real Aloe Vera Face Mask Pack.

What is it?

Pax Moly Real Aloe Vera Mask Pack
25ml
[Dual functional cosmetic for whitening and anti-aging]
Formulated with aloe vera extracts, it provides skin hydration and nourishing
Featured ingredients: Niacinamide, Adenosine

Packaging
Foil type pouch is easy to open and the design is simple and straight-forward.

Experience
Pax Moly Real Aloe Vera Face Mask Pack offers a very mild aloe vera scent. Its not over powering so if you are not a fan of aloe vera you might still like this one. This face mask also contains just the right amount of serum in it which I like because it means the mask is not dripping wet. I like how mess-free it is. Pax Moly Real Aloe Vera Face Mask Pack fits my face perfectly.

Its not too big unlike the previous masks I've tried before. I am a bit skeptical at first on using a new face sheet mask because I tried a mask before that stings like crazy! That is why I am glad that this is very gentle on my skin. The serum is light and gives a cold relaxing feeling and its easily absorbed by the skin.

I was amazed with how supple and bright my skin looks after use. My skin is plump, hydrated and smooth.

How much and where to buy?
P25/each. Just P100 for 4 pieces at www.shopee.ph/minahree or Oh-some MNL

What I love
  • Mild aloe vera scent
  • Sheet masks fits perfectly
  • Doesn't sting
  • Doesn't clog pores
  • Hydrated skin
  • Fits my face perfectly
  • Light serum is easily absorbed by the skin
  • Mask doesn't drip with serum=no mess
  • Smooth skin for good makeup base
  • Great pamper time mask
  • Reduced the size of my pimples with just one use
  • Affordable compared to other masks in the market
What I don't
  • Nothing I can mention
Will I repurchase?
Yes! Its very affordable compared to other face mask. There are also new variants like honey and aqua in addition to aloe vera and vitamin C.

Overall~
I would honestly love to put on mask everyday if I can. Gone are the days that the only ones available in the market are P80-100 face sheet masks. I recommend to use a pack of Pax Moly Aloe Vera mask everytime you have break outs from your period, works like magic. Cheaper doesn't always mean low quality, Pax Moly Real Aloe Vera Mask Pack proved its worth every penny.
