Review: Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Honest

Hohoho~ Hi sweeties!

For this holiday season and for our reunion I want to try something new.I got tired on using my usual cheek tints for my looks. I wanted something more natural and something less noticeable, something that will make people think that I am just blooming. Haha.

I was looking for a peachy or orangey color blush. Something cheap as I don't want to break the bank, as I scour the local product brands I saw EB Cheek Blushes. I settled for Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Honest.

Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Honest Review

What is it?

A matte powder cheek blush with a bit of sparkles but its not visible on the skin once applied. I truly love the color. <3

Packaging
The cheek blush is inside a black and round flip top case. It looks classy! Although the case is made from plastic. This blush have accidentally fallen once and that is only when I have discovered that it has a compartment inside with a mirror and a small brush! Very neat and surprising haha.

Experience

I lightly apply Ever Bilena Blush using my ELF Stipple Brush. Sometimes I also use the brush included in this cheek blush. The product is quite powdery and there are a bit of fall outs, but I don't mind. The end result is a really natural blushing cheeks that doesn't look over done. This light orange-y color just gives me the right glow during days that my skin looks pale. This blush is pigmented and I can easily adjust the intensity of color depends on how I apply the product. It lasts about 2-3 hours when its hot and humid. By the way underneath it says to have UVA/UVB protection so I guess that is another good point.

I usually wear this blush over peach or pink lips. But if you are looking for a blush which will go well with a red lipstick for this holiday then this can also be your best bet!

How much and where to buy?

A 4g. blush only costs P180 at Ever Bilena kiosks in SM Department stores, Watsons, HBC and Hortaleza

What I love

  • The color is true to its pan
  • Very natural looking color for no makeup look
  • Its matte!
  • Affordable
  • Accessible product because its locally made
  • Doesn't break me out
  • travel friendly because it has a brush and mirror inside

What I don't

  • Doesn't last long
  • Ingredients is not stated anywhere on the case

TIPS

Be careful when applying this blush because there are fall-outs.

Will I repurchase?

Yes definitely but I am yet to hit the pan and I have a looooong way to go. The baby pink blushes also interests me. I just can't get enough of pink stuffs eh?~

Overall~

Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Honest is a perfect to-go blush for no-makeup look. If you want to look glowing but not made up, then check this out!

Teehee! Christmas is comiiing~

Review: Bobbie Cosmetics Dare to Bare Face Powder

Sweeties its about the time of the year again. Malls are all jam-packed. The season is so timely for a MOA Saturday date. This post is quite late though.

Sweet boyfie is really supportive in not letting me drop by in Watsons hahahaha. Oh well he knows very well that we will spend an hour or so browsing new products. I rarely visit beauty shops now so is my only chance! Teehee sorry.

I found Bobbie Cosmetics, it is a new cosmetic brand for me. The sales lady mentioned that Bobbie Cosmetics is from the same company who makes Bobbie and Chic nail polishes. Oooh interesting~
The prices of their products is really affordable. I think their target market are students. But not too bad for girls in a budget as well. Nothing over P200.

If my memory serves me right, this are the prices:
2 way foundation with case- P 199
2 way foundation refill - P90
Pressed Powder with case- P115
Pressed Powder Refill - P55
Blush - P90
Eyeshadow Palette - P150
Lipsticks - P85
Lip tints - P80

For testing purposes I bought Bobbie Cosmetic Dare to Bare Face Powder refill in sheer. I remember seeing at least three shades for both face powder and 2-way foundation. I don't really mind getting the powder with the case, I mean hello its pink! It is not just pink, its metallic pink! <3 Ooh +1 for that. But I don't want to waste the case if the powder does not work on me so I settled for the refill. Really economic.

Bobbie Cosmetics Dare to Bare duo powder (2 way foundation) is offered in 3 shades just like the face powder. I noticed the amount of product is less compared to the face powder.

What is it?
Basically a face powder, perfect for touch ups or on top of liquid foundations. I am not a fan of 2 way foundations because it feels heavy on my skin. See product description below:

The not-so-good news is that it contains paraben.

Packaging
Ooops this is a refill. I must say though that their shade selection is quite limited. The lightest shade they offer is far from the other face powder shade I was using.

Experience
My aim is to find a new face powder with effects comparable to my past face powder. I tried Bobbie Cosmetics face powder alone and it gave me a smooth flawless finish. But because shade is not as light like I've mentioned it did not gave me the brightening skin effect. I also tried this on top of my moisturizer and bb cream combo. It was good, same look when I used it alone.
I must say it is good for touch ups. It absorbs oil and finish is matte. I tried using Bobbie Dare to Bare Face Powder with kabuki brush but the free sponge does so much better. It delivers light to medium finish. I apply it with a pat-pat motion so I can adjust the coverage easily.

How much and where to buy?
Php 55 for the 12g refill

What I love
Affordable
Blurs out pores, talk about flawless finish!
Doesn't break me out
Light to medium coverage
Scentless
Photogenic
The free sponge <3

What I don't
Powdery that is why product is consumed faster
Not accessible; not all Watsons outlet carry this brand

TIPS

  • Use sponge for medium and kabuki brush for lighter coverage
  • Use moisturizer even when you plan on using it alone to serve as the makeup base; it may highlight dry patches just like any other powder
  • Pat-pat motion to adjust coverage easily

Will I repurchase?
Yes sure! Next time with the lovely pink case.

Overall~
A decent face powder far from the powders of the same price. Definitely buying the tint and eyeshadow next!~

I want to share snapshots from this Saturday date!
Couple Ice cream!
~ <3

Melody parade which screams, oh its Christmas!

Review: Maxi-Peel Exfoliant #1

Hi sweeties! How are you?
Hope you are all safe and sound despite the last visit of typhoon Ruby in the Philippines. Let us all pray and I know, God will do the rest.

I know it has been months since I have been on hiatus, again it is because of my tight schedule. I don't have much time for any 'me time' anymore, maybe that is why my skin is being bumpy lately (talk about break outs). I needed to find something which is within my budget which lead me to get Maxi-Peel.

I cannot remember how many times I have heard horror stories of women who experienced burnt skin because of being exposed to the sun after using this product. But because I would be staying at home, I believe I am safe and I'm in the right timing to use Maxi-Peel. There have been countless debate if Maxi-Peel works or not, but there are skin reactions differ from person to person. But if you are brave like me then why not? Anyway off to my share of review, let's dig in!

MAXI-PEEL REVIEW

What is it?
Basically Maxi-Peel Exfoliant Solution (Anti Acne Depigmenting Agent) is an astringent which mainly contains Tretinoin and Hydroquinone. It is offered in three different strengths: #1 mild #2 moderate #3 severe. In choosing the right strength they say you should assess what intensity your acne problem is. But I highly suggest to just start with #1 which is mild. I mean hey, its better to be safe than sorry. #3 can easily burn skin if not used properly. Besides you can always adjust, if you think the effect is not enough. To sum it up it promises to:

  • Treat/prevent mild cases of pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
  • Penetrate pores to reduce breakouts
  • Eliminate pimple causing bacteria
  • Remove dead skin cells
  • Whiten dark spots, blemishes and other discoloration such as freckles and age spots
Maxi-Peel also offers other products than the exfoliant solution:

Credits: Splash besides Maxi-Peel there other brands created by this company which includes:Skin White, Extract, Maxi-Peel, Hygienix, Kolours Shades Vitress Control, Barrio Fiesta

Packaging
Nothing is fancy here. The product is inside a green secured bottle, no leaks! The manufacturing and expiration date is clearly stated on the cap. Liquid inside is brown and yeah it smells chemical-ish which is normal for astringents.

Experience

If you have read this blog of mine you'll know that I am not afraid of trying out new products. I am ready for peeling and such. Reminder: Never start using Maxi-Peel without sunblock and moisturizer!

HOW TO USE:
Evening routine

  1. Wash face with hydrating/gentle facial wash and wait for at 10-15 minutes for face to dry. I use Celeteque but there is also other gentle brands that are worth trying.
  2. Apply Maxi-Peel exfoliant with a cotton, 2-3 drops is enough and apply it with upward motion. Avoid the eye/lips area and side of the nose.
  3. Apply moisturizer afterwards. I use Physiogel.
Morning routine
  1. Wash face with hydrating/gentle facial wash.
  2. Apply moisturizer then sunblock. Reapplication of sunblock can be done every 4 hours to make sure skin is protected from UV rays.
My skin felt a bit tight after application but not to the point that its itchy due to over dryness. During mornings I only use moisturizer + sunblock + concealer + light dust of powder. I alternate days of usage, to avoid too much redness and peeling in just one go. After a week, my face turned dark and it was micro peeling. During the peeling stage skin is sensitive to sunlight so sunblock is a must. I did not experienced too much purging, but few pimples appeared (but it was also because I was about to have my period). Continuous usage of the product helped in drying them out.

Gradually my skin became clear from bumps and pimples, it is also even toned. I also noticed that my pores are not as prominent as before. It is recommended to stop using Maxi-peel after 1 or 2 months to avoid over peeling and to give way for the rest period of the skin.

No more visible pimples, only dark scars are left. Cannot give a before photo but pores are not as prominent as the photo in real life.

How much and where to buy?
I bought mine from Mercury Drug. I don't have much time to drop by in Watsons. :(
60ml costs P60+ (I cannot remember, will check)

What I love
Affordable and accessible product
Hello even toned skin
No more bumpy skin
Effective way to get better skin with the right usage
It diminished my big pores, acne scar, dark patches and bumps due to allergy
I get less blackheads and whiteheads now

What I don't
Peeling and purging stage

TIPS

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and always wear sunblock on face and neck.
  • Perform skin patch test to see if product suits you.
  • Avoid usage of other whitening products which might not work with the solution
  • Don't apply on wounded/broken skin.
  • If the formula is too much for you r skin then you can use every other day.
  • Use Maxi-peel concealer to hide the peeling.
  • Stop usage if you felt too much sting when washing your face
  • Use hat, umbrella to protect skin on top of using sunblock.
  • Redness is normal, itchiness is not especially if you made sure you apply moisturizer.
  • Rashes or swelling is a no-no. If you notice this, stop usage.
  • Any whitening/exfoliating product is not recommended for lactating or breastfeeding women
Will I repurchase?
Yes! Actually I just did! Maxi-Peel Exfoliant #2! This one peels skin faster, than #1. It has the same 2g Hydroquinone but this contains 25mg tretinoin unlike #1 which only contains 10mg.

Overall~
Maxi-peel is an effective way to get flawless skin in no time. I am still far from perfect and I still get acne every now and then but hey with continuous usage, who knows? I get nothing but compliments from my friends whom I haven't seen for a long time. They were asking me what product I use not because my skin is so much better than before. Oh well less is always more. :) Who can imagine that beauty in a bottle can be affordable. Thank you Maxi-Peel!

Maxi-peel is being promoted now by actress/model Ms. Marian Rivera and they tag this promotion as #BagongGandaBagongPagAsa Journey to renewal.
Please visit their facebook page if you have concerns: Maxi-peel

Any experience with Maxi-Peel or with other astringents sisses? Any comments or questions, please post below. See yah in my next post!

Review: SNOW Skin Whitening Soap

SNOW Skin Whitening Soap Review

Through the years I already jumped from several whitening soaps. I can attest that there are a lot of effective whitening body soaps from local to international brands. Among the usual whitening formulas include: kojic, papaya, placenta and glutathione. The best one for me is kojic though. It is where I usually get the most noticeable change. Some weeks ago I was offered to try something new, a skin whitening soap that is neither kojic nor papaya - SNOW Skin Whitening Soap. Is it a thumbs up? or a thumbs down? Read on to find out!

What is it?
SNOW Skin Whitening Soap contains 7 Plants Extract from the Swiss Alps Mallow Extract:
  • Peppermint Extract
  • Primula Veris Extract
  • Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract
  • Veronica Officinalis Extract
  • Melissa Officinalis Extract
  • Achillea Millefolium Extract
Developed from these Alpine plants they have developed ALPAFLOR GIGAWHITE. A skin lightener that can brighten and even skin tone as well as reduce the color intensity of age spots.
You can find more information about the product inside their leaflet and also on the back of the box.

The ingredients of this soap is really unique. I imagine all the effort they gave to come up with a new blend of whitening soap.

Packaging
I know that this is a different product but I can't deny that I remember *inserproductnamehere* because of the simple white box and black/red head of a girl logo which is tentenenen~ No one else of course but Snow White. This logo is cute and somehow says that this is a product for teen-age young girls.
I must admit that I opened it just like other ordinary soap boxes... I opened it on the sides! It was too late when I've realized that it should be opened by removing the security seal! It is actually a flip top box. Haha. Yikes. The soap itself is packaged with plastic, and a leaflet with more product information. I also like it that they printed the batch number, manufacturing and expiration date on the box. Very helpful!

Experience:
SNOW Skin Whitening Soap has this faint powdery scent which I like. It is yellowish transparent but as stated with the product info we refer to it as clear colored amber. I noticed that it melts easily, I was able to finish one bar in just a matter of 2 weeks. Maybe because it lathers so well. I enjoy using this soap because of the scent and the lather!
I just use this for the body. I tried it on my face during my first week and unfortunately just like the reaction of my face to other whitening soaps I've tried, I broke out. I had this 3 cystic acnes which took long to dry up. Gosh why is my face so sensitive, I don't use whitening products on my face now...
Going back, as a body soap, at first use I notice its drying. It leaves this squicky dry feeling after wash which I didn't like. However after several usage I got used to it. After a few days skin was micro peeling. Really really mild micro peeling which is next to being unnoticeable.
Weeks after it made my skin soft, glowing and smooth. Other whitening soaps which are too mild or too harsh doesn't even clean well. But this one amazes me, it is not just give the effects I love, I also feel clean! I even noticed that my back acne has dried up, hoorah!

How much and where to buy?
I got this for free from Vida Nutriscience (thank you so much!) It's P149 per 135 gram soap in Lazada and Mercury Drugstores

What I love?

  • It does not contain harsh formula -  no peeling, no stings!
  • Soft glowing smooth skin after several weeks of usage
  • Cleans skin on top of being effective!
  • Dried my back acne problems. Super kyaa~

What I don't

  • Face broke out (similar reaction to any other whitening soaps)
  • Melts fast compared to other soaps I've tried which are of the same size
  • I can't find it in Watsons

TIPS:
Let the lather sit on your skin for about 5 minutes in order to maximize the effects of the soap. *wink*
Use lotion every after wash

Will I repurchase?
Yes! Its perfect as a soap for girls with back acne problems. I am not alone eh?

Overall~
SNOW Skin Whitening Soap gets a thumbs up! Awesome awesome unique formula that works! Hooray for Snow White and 7 dwarfs concept, teehee, another props for that! :)

Check out their Facebook page here: Snow Gluta
I'll be doing a review about their Snow Gluta tabs next. Stay tuned! <3

Review: Celeteque DermoScience Hydration Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash

Call me your dahling, dahling nareul neukyeojwo~
LSS with Girl's Day Darling for more than 2 weeks now. This just popped out of the blue, I wonder why sometimes how much you want to talk to somebody you can't come up with topics to talk about? Mind block perhaps? Meow~

Sweeties I already owe a lot of product reviews and photos are piling up! yikes. So I'll make another post for the week. This Sunday I'll share my favorite facial scrub. It is actually called facial wash, but it is an exfoliating type of wash and it has beads so it must be scrub. (oh yes ang kulit ko! xD) ...Yosh! So off to the review!

Celeteque says
CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash safely removes dead skin cells that may clog pores. It has Dual Nourishing Beads infused with Vitamin C and E that gently burst to help nourish and protect the skin. Its perfectly spherical shaped microbeads exfoliate without scratching and damaging the new skin layer.

What's inside?
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Acrylates Copolymer, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Lactate, Wax, Panthenol, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Lactose, Cellulose, Tacopheryl Acetate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, CI 77891, CI 77491, Jojoba Esters, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Masking Agent, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Lactic Acide, Masking Agent, Chamomilla recutita (Chamomile) Extract, Lactic Acid, Bisabolol, CI 16035

  • Apply CELETEQUE DermoScience™ Hydration Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash on wet skin. Massage in a gentle circular motion. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Use every other day to revitalize tired-looking skin. If dryness or irritation occurs, use less frequently.

What is it?
A gentle exfoliating facial wash which I can use every other day. I treat this a scrub because it can remove dead skin cells and it has this micro beads as the scrub.

Packaging
Tube type just like its facial wash counterpart. No leakage or whatever, this is convenient even when you lug it in your baggage.

MY REVIEW~
Celeteque DermoScience Hydration gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash - or Celeteque facial scrub for short is like a 2-in-1 product. It does not just exfoliate my skin, it also keeps it well hydrated which is very true to its name and facial wash counterpart. I don't follow directions, I am using this everyday actually but I did not experienced any dryness unlike other scrubs I've tried before. It is half scrub, half facial wash for me. If you get what I mean~ :3

One week back I started using this astringent (up-next review) and Celeteque Hydration Exfoliating Facial Wash helped in removing flaky dry skin. Usually if I use astringents or any strong formula products my face would be micro peeling. But because of the tandem of Celeteque facial wash and Physiogel moisturizer I skipped the peeling effect! So happy~

How much and where to buy?
I buy this either from Watsons or Mercury Drug store, price depends on where you buy it from but standard price is: PhP 95.00 (60ml) and PhP 140.00 (100ml)

What I love?

  • Exfoliates and hydrates skin at the same time
  • Does not break me out because it is really gentle
  • Leaves my skin clean and fresh with a bonus glow

What I don't?

  • Nothing

TIPS:
If you don't like to exfoliate much I recommend their Celeteque Hydration Facial Wash. It does not have beads for exfoliation, gentle as an everyday face wash.

Will I repurchase?
Yes. One of my favorite products, this is a mainstay in my skincare kit.

Overall~
Thumbs up for Celeteque DermoScience Hydration gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash! Other products I wanted to try from Celetque: multi-benefit  bb cream, back acne spray, acne spot corrector gel, anti-wrinkle collagen gel and matte moisturizer with SPF30. List will go on and on~

JUST ME: Looking forward to CN Blue's upcoming concert this September 19!

**Till next review Darlings!

Package received: Snow Whitening Soap and Glutathione Capsule!

Hello to the best time of the week.. WEEKEND!

It is thrilling to receive packages, isn't it? Especially if it contains a goodie that you surely don't wanna miss.
Last Saturday I was able to receive this set of products:

Snow caps Dietary Supplement L-Glutathione Capsule and Snow Skin Whitening Soap

They were so nice to send this products to me. I will surely make a comprehensive honest review after I finish at least one or two bars of Snow Skin Whitening Soap and of course the Snow Caps L-Glutathione capsules.

This will be the 2nd time that I will be trying a Glutathione formulated soap, and yes I am thrilled! I was not able to use this sooner because I needed to stop using my other whitening soap first. Anyway for the mean time, check out their official page for the user feedback of their products. ^_^

If you are into kpop, hope you don't mind me sharing this new Music video of Girls Day. Totally fun and super eye candy MV! No one else can be so cute and sexy like them at the same time! I'm a fan <3

Review: Purebeauty CC Cream

Purebeauty CC Cream Review

Yay I'm a busy bee, I've just finished a week load of work. I am not sure if anyone would need this piece of advice at this time but always remember to 'never let anyone put you down!' :)
By the way I received a mail filled with goodies last Saturday. I will make a separate post and review soon!

I am always late teehee but I've just noticed that Purebeauty is already back in the shelves of Watsons. I got myself a tube after I've missed my old makeup routine.

Purebeauty CC Cream says:
Pure Beauty Complexion Corrector
Pink flower complex
SPF30 PA++ Ivory

What is it?
CC Cream is basically an advanced version of BB creams. CC stands for Color correction cream or for this Purebeauty product, its complexion corrector.

Packaging
Hands down... It's pink! A plain pink tube with a silver screw type cap.

Review:
The cream has this distinct flowery scent which I really love! It is quite runny and at first you won't notice, but upon spreading the product you will notice that it is filled with sparkles! Not something I adore. Boohoo~ I don't notice strange stares even though I've used this during mornings, hmmm maybe it's not so weird after all?
The color is quite grayish as well, different from my yellow toned skin. You will only need a pea size of the product because it is smooth and really spreadable.

The coverage is very light and so it is not hard to remove. But I bought this to replace my bb creams, thinking that this is their advance version and CC cream has better properties. Wrong. Purebeauty CC Cream lacks coverage, I still need a concealer. Not for the days I'm in a hurry.

This has SPF30 PA++ which is perfect for sun protection. My recent sunblock is only SPF20 so this good. It doubles up the number. Teehee. Downside is this is not for those flash picture moments. You will get not-so-attractive shots as it will show white cast because of the SPF content. Yikes. I remember using it in a kpop event not long time ago, imagine those horror shots. There was a lot, even from those who approached our cover group to take a picture with them. *rolls on the floor*

How much and where to buy?
PHP299 (promo price)/ 40ml exclusive in Watsons nationwide. Now I guess the regular price is Php 399?

What I love?

  • The scent
  • Easy to spread
  • SPF 30 PA ++ I lurrve sunblocks~

What I don't?

  • The sparkles
  • The coverage is so-so.
  • White cast on flash photography
TIPS
Best applied with clean finger tips

Will I repurchase?
Nope, I am not losing my hopes on cc creams but I will venture on other brands. They might offer better coverage.

Overall~
I think at this point I can say BB creams is still better than CC creams. Can you suggest your favorite BB or CC cream I should try next to Purebeauty CC Cream? Please share!

Review: San San Soleil Matte Foundation

Hi sweeties! Again it has been a tough stressful week for meh. I am looking forward to a brighter days ahead although literally there will be rain showers because of the typhoon. Anyway starting off with a summerific item although it is rainy! Here is my review on San San Soleil Matte Foundation:

What is it?
A matte liquid foundation with only one shade! This also features SPF 24 which is good because we all need sun protection especially on our face.

Packaging
Handy yellow tube type. It is very summer like. Yellow symbolizes the sun of course! :) The pump is a fail because the one I've got is not working and no product is dispensed out. I had to open the cap every time I need to use it err.. frustrating.

Experience
First thing I noticed with San San Soleil Matte Foundation is the scent. It smells like Bear Brand milk. Next is the color. I am glad that it is yellow toned so it fits most Pinays. I use my fingers in application just like what I do with bb creams. The coverage is awesome. One application is enough to cover pesky spots. I feel instantly flawless after usage. However I hate how sticky it is. Its hard to spread the product. I always make sure I use moisturizer prior to applying. It is also messy, I really had to make an effort in washing my hands because the product won't come off easily.

Because of the thick consistency I stopped using it on my face after a week. I am afraid that it somehow block pores because I broke out a little. Also in comparison to other face foundations I've tried this does not melt pretty, no glow or whatsoever. Reapplication is a must or you will look like a greaseball. I tried using this on my legs (I am quite a fan of leg foundations) and i'ts a winner. The full coverage covers up dark spots in an instant. Thumbs up for being a multi-purpose product.

I never tried this on flash photography but it was okay on natural lighting.

How much and where to buy?
 HBC outlets nationwide.

What I love

  • The full coverage!
  • The milk scent. hoho~
  • Perfect as a leg foundation. Hihi~
What I don't

  • Not for the face because it might clog pores

TIPS:
Best applied using fingers. It will be hard to clean tools with this foundation.

Will I repurchase?
As leg foundation? Yes!

Overall~
I was not able to use it for the purpose I've bought it for but I am glad San San Soleil Matte Foundation found another way to stay inside my beauty drawer. <3

*might post pictures if I get my hands on my foundie again. I've left it with a friend of mine. I'm missing this tube for weeks now.

Review: Block & White Ultima Whitening Soap

Ayo Sweeties!
Thank God its Sunday! I love weekends, too bad it only lasts for 2 days! Teehee.
So today is another whitening soap review. I can't help it. Haha. I think I need something to whiten spots I got from my skin allergy last time. I know how effective kojic soap is in whitening but I just can't use it because I get small bumps whenever I try. Plus it is too harsh for my face. After years of trying different products I came to realize that only gentle products should be used when it comes to face.

Looking at the soap racks I saw Block & White Ultima Whitening Soap. I remember how other gtalkers raved on the effectiveness of the B&W Ultima Lotion. I was sold on its claim that it whitens as early as 5 days. Who doesn't want fast results right?

What is it?
Block & White Ultima Whitening Soap is a Glutathione based soap that claims to give results in just 5 days.

Packaging
White with gold design box. Seems to be a box for a luxury soap for me!
At the back, you'll see more of its claims and ingredient list.I bought it for whitening but it also has anti-aging properties which is a bonus.

Experience
One thing worth noting is that it smells nice! I am not good at describing scent but it is something feminine. The soap does contain visible gentle exfoliating scrubs (no visuals!) I don't think it helps with anything unless you are going to hardly rub the soap into your skin?

Besides being said that the soap contains skin moisturizers, my skin still feels kinda tight after usage. I notice some glow as well which is something I like!

How much and where to buy?
I can't remember how much but it is less than a hundred for a box.

What I love

  • The scent!
  • Affordable

What I don't

  • Quite drying
  • Did not whiten spots

TIPS
If you have ultra sensitive skin, I do not recommend drying soaps for your face.

Will I repurchase?
No. It is not effective for me.

Overall~
Block & White Ultima Whitening Soap is just an ordinary soap for me. It did not gave any whitening effect on my dark spots or complexion like promised. I'm still looking for other means to whiten my skin~

***
After finishing all of my bb cream tubes I am now I am looking for a new affordable BB cream to try :)

Review: Nichido Cheek Mousse in Pink Champagne

Nichido Cheek Mousse Review

Phew! Tough week. I was really looking forward to this weekend. Poor me because my draft of today's review was deleted. I had to rewrite everything, like -_-'') I hate you Google Autosave. ><

I can't do anything about it, so I'll just try to be more careful next time. Okay so let's proceed to today's review! :)
Dollish cheeks anyone? Yay me! Me! *raises hands* I am a sucker for pink. Well look at my blog! And any pink stuff can catch my eyes. Hihi~ So I found out that Nichido Cheek Mousse in Pink Champagne was on sale from P168 per piece to P84! That was like half the price! Since I can't find the Ever Bilena mousse blushes (I was dying to try them!) anymore I bought Nichido instead.

What it is?
A cream blush with a mousse consistency. Perfect partner for cream foundies and even over powder makeup! At first I can't find the ingredient list until I lift the sticker underneath the tub. Lol. Lookie no paraben. ^_^

Packaging
Nichido Cheek Mousse is in a screw type glass tub container. Not the preferred type of packaging for a beauty product so always make sure to wash your hands before applying this product. It is plastic but durable and won't break! It is not cheap looking but after lugging it around with me I found that the design on top of the cap has faded. I really do not mind much though, I still find the pink cap cute.

swatch!
Experience
It is my first time to try a cheek mousse type of blush! Boy I was so excited! I was looking for some kind of blush in this exact bright baby pink shade and I found it with Pink Champagne! It really has no scent or whatsoever but you might notice a really faint waxy smell, probably the ingredient used to make the mousse consistency. You won't notice much at first but there are subtle glitters in the product. I was glad that it did not made me oily looking or gave a greasy feeling.

A little goes a long way. I only needed a small amount of the product to create natural looking blushing cheeks. Application is so easy, no need for brushes or sponges. I do it with my fingers, mostly on top of my favorite bb cream. Blending is never a hassle and the finish is never over the top and natural looking. The color is buildable but there is nothing what we call over the top. It is always just the right amount of pink with this Cheek mousse! I dunno how they do it. Must be with the oxidation? Yes this baby does oxidize but just to adjust with your skin tone. The only problem I see is the staying power. I find that I had to reapply after 3 hours max. I am have quite oily cheeks being a combination type.

How much and where to buy?
7 grams for only P84! (it was on sale at Watsons!)

What I love:
  • It is the perfect dolly bubbly pink I was looking for which screams girly! <3
  • Natural finish (not shiny nor oily even if its mousse!)
  • Color is buildable
  • I never go over the top even I put a lot! /haamazing/
  • Perfect partner for bb creams and cream type foundies
  • Rich consistency
  • Blends like a dream (no skin tugging required!)
  • Does not break me out
  • No allergic reaction or whatsoever
  • Economic- a little goes a long way
  • Affordable!
What I don't
  • Staying power so-so
  • Might oxidize after a while
  • Does not last long and needs reapplication.
TIPS!
Always bring a sanitizer/alcohol and tissue if you want to use this throughout the day.

Will I repurchase?
If it is still available, why not? I am so in love with the color.  A snapshot of me while wearing the blush on my cheeks. <3

Overall~
Happiness comes in all size and budget! Like Nichido Cheek Mousse in Pink Champagne. Who can imagine that the perfect dollish pink blush can be this affordable?

Please feel free to share with me your favorite brand of blush below! :)

JUST ME~ I found this cute pink dress in Vmall. Papa and my lil chuchu told me that I look like a kid in it but I just had to try it! I kinda look like fat here eh? Must be the design in the front? Keke. Or am I really getting fat? Still love the color! Thinking twice on buying it as a graduation dress, but its pretty!

Review: Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil in Milk Tea

Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil in Milk Tea Review

After finishing up a lot of full-sized bb cream tubes I bought a few months back I am now a cheap skate kid that can't afford a new one. Boohoo~ So now I need to stick with the basics eh? Like a separate moisturizer, foundation and sunscreen. Yikes. All of those steps will take too much of my every morning. And another misfortune is that I am also all out of concealer!

Yay so fortunately I was in Landmark the other day, I checked several local brands (they are affordable!) and remembered that I have been wanting to try my favorite foundation's concealer counterpart, and so I did! :)

What it is?
Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil is a concealer stick, which is meant to cover up nasty blemishes and perhaps brighten dark panda under eyes.

Check out the ingredients below:

It doesn't have parabens (good thing!) and it contains tea tree oil! Good in controlling acne. Let's read an excerpt from webmd:

Why do people take tea tree oil?

Tea tree oil has been used traditionally as a topical antiseptic and antifungal treatment. One study found that tea tree oil worked as well as 5% benzoyl peroxide in controlling the symptoms of acne. It appears to be effective with toenail fungus and possibly athlete's foot. Studies of tea tree oil for other conditions such as gum disease, vaginal infections, and dandruff have been inconclusive.

Oh~ so tea tree oil is not just for acne, it can also be a cure for other girl problems as well (now if Head & Shoulders could come up with a tea tree variant?) CR: Photo from Fashion21.

Not just a concealer! It is also a foundation!

The Packaging:
I got myself Milk Tea but it is darker than my skin tone. (T_T)
The green packaging is eye catching, I didn't even bothered to look at the other concealer line. The product cap is just a cap. Hahaha what I mean is it not even twist type of something.O(≧∇≦)O
I like that it is not a loose cap or whatever. It just sits on my kit, safe from product wreckage because the cap is tight and secure. ヽ(*゚ー゚*)ノ

Product Experience:
I tried Fashion 21 Perfect as a concealer. The texture is smooth and it is really blendable. The concealer has a minty scent which I like (might be tea tree?). It has a powder finish, light enough like you are not wearing anything on your face.

I was intrigued on how Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil in Milk Tea will fare as a cream foundation, so I did!٩(^ᴗ^)۶  I was not afraid to use it on my face because it contains tea tree and I didn't had any bad skin reaction when I used it as a concealer. I only used my fingers with blending because it brings better results. If you would use blush, I recommend liquid tints. Blending is like a dream, no streaks or anything. By the way don't forget to moisturize first because as mentioned it has a powder finish which might accentuate dry patches (in case you have any).

Behold for the next photo is when I had a breakout galore. Not-so-good skin days. :(

See picture above, the coverage is buildable, not cakey even with layers on but still might not be enough for red acne or dark pimple marks IMO. It helped a bit in covering up my pores. The final result is natural flawless finish which lasts for hours. However I still prefer reapplication because I like the look better when its freshly applied.

Once I left my powder foundation at home and didn't even had my loose powder with me, I had to make do with Fashion 21 Perfect Stick. I was afraid I'll be so stress looking throughout the day. But guess what, besides being oily on my t-zone everything else is fine. If I was not just oozy on wanting freshly applied makeup I would not even bother to retouch.

Another scenario is using this before swimming. It claims to have UV protection along with coverage (like bb creams? minus the moisture!) My liner and lip tint is gone but I noticed that its like my foundie is still on even after 3 hours of being in the water. Is this some kind of waterproof? Amaziiing~

How much and where to buy?
Landmark and Watsons nationwide at only Php 195 per 11.5 grams tube. Beat that! (ノ>▽<。)ノ

What I love?
  • The smooth texture
  • Buildable/ blendable
  • Cream to powder finish
  • It has UV protection
  • ]The tea tree minty scent!
  • Covers up pores when used as a foundation!
  • It is a 2 in 1 product
  • Affordable and accessible
  • Long lasting and I suspect it is even waterproof! (๑>ᴗ<๑)
  • Does not break me out
 What I don't
  • Not good enough coverage if used as a concealer
  • Shade I got is darker than mehh~
 TIPS
Moisturize first before using this product!
Double or triple layers on skin imperfections
Use makeup remover and good cleansers for skin cleansing.

Will I repurchase?
Yessssh I will! I might just bought the wrong shade.Perfect choice for girls in a tight budget. This is a must-try! :)

Overall~
A bang for the buck! Overall quality of Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil in Milk Tea is great. Not for a concealer though, but I can pass that up. As a cream foundation this baby is a winner!
